The Apartment is overlooking the pools to the rear and the blue Caribbean Sea to the front of the Apartment! The Main Pool House has just been completed, seen from the back of the apartment, up on the hill to your left. The pool is larger than the 3 pools you look out onto and is a “Horizon Pool”. Being on highest point of the complex, this gives you approximately another hour of lovely sunshine and while swimming in the pool, it has the illusion of the pool water meeting the Caribbean sea on the horizon!!The Complex comes with flood lit tennis courts and a Gym.Accommodation is relatively new and offers peaceful, clean, relaxing holidays. It is situated away from the commercial side of Barbados, but is easily reached by car/taxi etc.The Apartment offers 2 good sized bedrooms, one with en suite. There is a main shower room and toilet. The Kitchen comes equipped with washing machine, dryer, electric cooker with large oven and grill, dishwasher, microwave, iron & board and a very large American style fridge/freezer.The apartment has an open plan kitchen/diner, going thru to the lounge area, where there is a plasma TV, DVD and CD player. Then take your recliner, along with a glass of something tasty and watch the sun sink into the blue Caribbean sea!If, for a special treat, you would like a meal cooked for you the Bajan way, then let us contact Yvette for you, who will come to the apartment and conjure up a delight of a feast for your return from a lazy day on the beach! She will cater for all your needs, likes and dislikes and make it a meal to remember, all at a most reasonable cost.
There are 3 Tier'd pools to the rear of the apt and a Horizon Pool, complete with Jacuzzi/Hot Tub up on the Hill to the left of the Apartment to watch the sunset byAlthough we have ticked the box for "not suitable for children under 5" we would like to extend this to "not suitable for children under 12" Our apologies. We can offer car hire with this apt for an additional cost of £200 per week. Location description from owner
The Barbados region
The local tipple is Rum and the local's Mount Gay Ru m & Coke. There is also a very good Rum Punch, which really does pack a punch, its tastes very fruity, but watch it! (A large Rum & Coke will usually set you back around £1.70) Local beer is Banks Beer (Usually around £1). Local foods include: Fried Chicken, Flying Fish, Rice & Peas & Macoroni Pie. Another local fish is "Dolphin", but this is not "Dolphin" as we know it, but a fish called Dorado or Mahi-Mahi.
Restaurants: Prices vary from £8 to £100's(!!) dpending on if you eat at local establishments or the more exclusive restaurants!
Transport: Taxi's - Always establish a price with the driver before your journey, ZR Vans (so called by the pre-fix "ZR" on registration plate), very handy for coastal runs and into Bridgetown, BBDS$1.50 takes you anywhere on "their" route and will stop only for a pick up or drop off, where as the buses will stop at all stops regardless, again for BBDS$1.50. If you want to see Barbados away from all the tourism, this is the way to travel.
Sports & Leisure - 5 World Class Golf Courses, Cricket at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, which was revamped to a very high standard for the World Cup 2007. Horse Racing at the Garrison which hosts the Cockspurs Gold Cup, but now known as the Sandy Lane Gold Cup. The course attracts jockeys from all over the world including from the U.K and Ireland. Race days also feature entertainment laid on in the middle of the course, which includes local food and drink, vendors, bring a picnic and even have a flutter on the many side games, like bingo, poker, rummy, coloured dice etc. Great fun for everyone!!
All water sports are in abundance, all around the coastline. The east coast attracts the surfers, as the coastline is very rugged (very cornish), the south coast is much more commericalised with bars and restaurants etc and sandy beaches with calm breezes and the west coast is much more sheltered, hot with sandy beaches and blue blue seas.
Speightstown was the first major port and commercial centre of Barbados. Falling into disrepair and neglected over the years it has now been revived and is now a bustling town with unique shops and great places to eat. It plays host to the brand new luxury marina development - Port St. Charles. There are excellent hotels and restaurants in the area, along with a fishing station, where the local catch can be purchased. (But usually all gone by lunch time!)
Further on down the road are scattered Chattel houses they play host to local food and Karokes, which leads to Holetown, which is now home to some lovely hotels and restaurants and duty free shopping.

“This was our second stay, that says it all!”
We spent a whole month here and enjoyed it very much. It is quiet and very breezy which suited us well. We never saw a single mosquito ! We had a car, so the fact it is a little far out did not bother us at all. We could get into Speightstown to shops and beaches in under 10 minutes. The grounds are very well kept and pretty, and we often took our Sundowner drinks to the gazebo overlooking the sea on the West Coast, to watch the sun set! The apartment is well equipped and it was home from home for the 4 of us. Rochelle who looks after the apartment came in once a week and is a very pleasant person who kept every thing ship shape for us. We will be back !!
Thank you Steve & Madeleine for such a lovely glowing report... we were so pleased to hear you wanted a return trip to the Apt again! Loved seeing all your photos of the places you visited & glad to hear we seem to be hitting the mark with all your needs for that home from home feeling. You & your family & friends, will always be most welcome. I will pass on your compliments to Rachelle... Best Regards Jennine
“Peaceful and with breathtaking views”
Brocklestone Hill is located in a peaceful spot in St Peter, with far-reaching views to the Caribbean and the benefit of a constant gentle breeze. The apartment is extremely well furnished and has a super kitchen and large verandah for eating outside. It is very quiet yet overlooks tiered pools and was absolutely spotless on our arrival. The owner provided clear directions from the airport and a comprehensive guide to the local area. I particularly loved swimming in the horizon infinity early every morning before breakfast when I had it all to myself. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends.
“Lovely apartment, like home from home”
Just to let you know that we had a brilliant holiday in Barbados. Your apartment was lovely, the pictures do not do it justice on the internet. The complex was so quiet, lovely to come back after a hot day on the beach. We went round the whole island in our jeep and loved the contrast with the East Coast and the West. We swam with the turtles, done loads of snorkelling, visited the caves, Oistins and the carnival at Bridgetown.
