Description

Rocky Acres Retreat is a peaceful retreat with 5 acres of peace and quiet just half of a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy all the comforts of home with all the amenities for the outdoorsman. Walk out the back door to Stone Mountain State Park for some of the best hiking in the state or go down to the New River and enjoy canoeing, kayaking and fishing and while you're at it get in some golf at the New River Country Club (other clubs nearby include High Meadows Golf & Country Club, Roaring Gap Golf Course, Olde Beau Golf Club, Deer Creek Golf Course and Stone Mountain Golf Club ). For those that just want to relax, enjoy some of the finest wineries in the state or do some antiquing in one of the numerous antique shops. Sparta and surrounding area enjoy some of the finest Bluegrass music in the World with Merlefest happening every year just down the road or every night at the Alleghany Jubilee in Sparta. Step back in time at Farmers Hardware on Main Street in Sparta. This Family owned 60 year old hardware store is full of unique and hard to find items. If you must get in your workout head down to the Alleghany Wellness Center in Sparta where $6.00 gets you an all day pass to the state of the art gym and indoor pool. Bring your running shoes and bike and run or bike the Parkway. It's a runners or bikers dream. When your finished with all of that just sit in one of our eight rocking chairs on the huge deck and relax or watch the High Definition TV with cable, ROKU and one of the nearly 200 DVD's provided. Look in the upstairs Master suite closet. Some may not be suitable for children (R rating). Please always monitor your children's activities.

This 4 bedroom 3.5 bath (2 Master Suites) with fully stocked kitchen is ready for you to play or relax. On the edge of Rich Mountain we are surrounded by Stone Mountain State Park. The Deer and Turkey are your only neighbors. We know you will have a blast.

Bedroom #1) Main Master suite is on the main floor which allows for mobility impaired persons to have access to the entire main floor and deck without using stairs. There will be only 4 steps for them to get in to the house from the rear entrance. After that you will have access to the Bedroom, Great room, Kitchen and Deck without stairs. It has a king size bed and private bath with shower and separate jetted tub.

Bedroom #2) Downstairs Master suite has one new queen bed and private bath with shower only.

Bedroom #3) Downstairs has one new queen bed

Bedroom #4) Downstairs has two twin beds

Other Bed) The sectional sofa has a pullout double bed.

We have had pallets on the floor and on the deck for kids and we also have pitched 6 person tents on the deck.

We have provided a regulation size corn hole game for you to enjoy on our huge deck.
