Nan's Cottage is a former Bobbin Mill workers residence dating back to the 18th century. With direct garden access to the River Crake and sharing a large communal garden the cottage is a cosy retreat on the edge of the British Lake District providing easy access to the Southern and Central Lakes and the Cumbrian Coast.

The Cottage has maximum occupancy for four and boasts two good size bedrooms, a compact bathroom, cosy living room with Woodburning Stove and well proportioned kitchen/diner offering glorious views over the communal gardens and surrounding countryside. To the lower ground floor is a Games Room and Laundry area which also provides a useful area for washing off mucky paws and boots!

On street parking available for one vehicle. Additional vehicles can be parked in the Royal Oak car park by arrangement. Convenient keybox access is provided for guest arrivals.

There are two Public Houses (The Royal Oak and Farmers Arms) approximately 50m and 250m away. Both serve light lunches and hearty evening meals and children and dogs are welcome in both.

The village of Spark Bridge is conveniently located near to the local market town of Ulverston where numerous shops, petrol stations and supermarkets are available. In addition, the larger towns of Barrow In Furness and Kendal are a short drive away where Leisure Centres, Cinemas and Shopping Centres can be found.

“Beautiful pet friendly Cottage”

Nan's Cottage was a great find, we had a much needed relaxing 4 days in peaceful and picturesque surroundings. The cottage is modern warm and cosy, offering very well appointed pet friendly accommodation with a pretty shared garden leading down to the river Crayke. The local pub had just reopened after a change of Management and is just a few minutes walk away, they made us feel very welcome. The cottage is in a great location, quiet and peaceful and ideal for exploring the Southern Lakes and surrounding area, we look forward to booking again!

Why can't I call Hayley (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Hayley (the owner) a message.

If Hayley (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
