Description

Beautiful, unusual property full of character in the heart of the historic Minster town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire. The property dates from the 1800's and was formerly the stables for the old Blacksmiths. The living accommodation is on the first floor with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor.

The Stables benefits from being right in the centre of Southwell, with the Minster and town's shops and facilities on the doorstep, yet is tucked away down a small, quiet private road, away from the hustle and bustle. You will have the full property to yourselves. You enter through a covered external porch area into the ground floor where you'll find the two bedrooms, main bathroom and en-suite shower room to the master bedroom. There are slate floors throughout this level and access to a quirky small outdoor seating area. A flight of wooden stairs leads up to the spacious lounge containing quality furniture, large screen smart tv, music system, with books and games available in the Welsh dresser. There are fabulous wooden beams throughout this level, with some low beams too. This room leads through with a step down to the dining area, with two bucket chairs placed to take advantage of the Juliette balcony. Go through again into the fully equipped kitchen where you'll find the oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. We've taken care to provide everything we think you'll need for a relaxing, enjoyable stay in this ever popular, beautiful Nottinghamshire market town.

Getting around

As The Stables is so central, you can easily explore Southwell from the doorstep on foot. If you want to travel further afield but leave the car behind then there are regular buses to Newark and also to Nottingham from the nearby bus stops.

We like to welcome our guests the day you arrive if possible, so we can be sure you have everything you need and we can answer any questions you may have. We will then leave you to enjoy your holiday, but are only 5 minutes away if you need anything during your stay.
