“Perfect holiday accomodation for a relaxing break”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

We stayed at Roseland Barns 5 days with our 2 kids aged 7 and 4 and had a very relaxing holiday far away from everything but still lots of things to do and to see. It's a perfect destination for those who enjoy to stay in property full of character, tastefully decorated and surrounded by untouched nature and breathtaking views over the Ocean. The hosts were very kind and helpful, always happy to help and give advices. There is also a lovely pond with ducks to entertain the kids and there are also plenty of beaches not far away from the property. We highly recommend this place!

“ANOTHER EXCELLENT STAY AT SOUTHOLE BARNS”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2013

Our 3rd stay at Southole barns and yet again another great "get away from it all" holiday. This time we rented Roseland Barn and it was up to the usual excellent standard, good living space with TV, DVD, internet access, kitchen area equipped with everything thats required, large bedroom area with a very comfortable bed. The local area is lovely and quiet , great for a relaxing holiday but within easy reach of all the tourist attractions in north cornwall / devon. Great walking along the coast 5 mins away + some great quiet beaches. As always Seldon was a top host and would certainly recommend the location for a holiday to unwind.

“Exellent place to relax and enjoy some day or weeks off.”

As I mentioned in the title: if you look for a fine place to relax and recover from the daily business, you will be really glad to stay at Southole Barns. A warm welcome and a barn with all in it you need will give you a great time there. We spent one week with our children (11 & 13) in Roseland Barn and appreciated the silence as much as the nearness to the coast. If you like to discover Devon or Cornwall, no problem because the bigger street is about 10min away by car. In short: perfect place to calm down without being far away from usual facilities (beach, pub, market, medieval places, horse riding, butcher, footpath, village, city etc.)

“Happy memories made here”

Stayed in Roseland Barn at Southole Barns with my elderly parents on our holiday from Australia. It was a bit of a hike down Devon lanes from the A39 but so worth it and quickly adjusted and enjoyed the lanes' jaunt. Seldon could not do enough to make myself and, more importantly, my parents comfortable. Excellent location for sightseeing around Cornwall and North Devon. Gorgeous decor and what a lovely place to relax. Can also highly recommend the local pub, The Old Smithy. Would certainly visit again. Will be singing its praises to all I know visiting this region.

“The perfect escape for excellent service and luxury accomodation”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2012

A fabulous break in beautiful surroundings was made extra special by the attention of the owner. Additional touches such as the cream tea on arrival, ready made meals to purchase on site and extremely friendly welcome made the holiday unforgettable. Plenty of advice available on the best places to see, with up to date weather information and assistance with arrangements. Needless to say, we were very sad to leave and have come home to book the next trip to Southole !
