Alternatively be on the lookout for parrot fish as they nip and tuck between the reefs, nibbling on tiny plants. Ideal for the avid golfer and sports enthusiast as the premises is close to Port Royal golf course (1 mile) and the water sports center at Somerset Bridge (2.5 miles). Beach access is available at West Whale Bay (1 mile) and excellent snorkeling at Church Bay (1.5 miles – snorkeling equipment provided) – please note there is no direct ocean access at the property.

The unit is ideally suited for a couple but there is room for two additional adults or older children as there is a sofa bed in the living room and an inflatable air mattress. (Please note that the bathroom is en-suite to the bedroom and therefore guests using the sofa bed in the living room will need to access the bathroom via the bedroom). Furnished with a modern flair, with accessories such as a large flat screen television, wireless internet and an Apple TV unit, the apartment is set up for the today's electronic traveler.

The apartment is located at the end of a quiet lane (800m from the bus stop) and is accessible via its own private entrance. Guests enter through an open plan kitchen and living area with French doors opening out to the garden with ocean beyond. To the right is a large comfortable bedroom with a modern bathroom (shower only, no tub) and there is a large walk-in closet. The bedroom has a large king size bed, a dresser and a small desk area for those minor work emergencies. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four burner electric stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster and includes all china, glassware and linens. Outside there is a gas BBQ, a patio table and umbrella with seating for six and comfortable chairs for pure relaxation. The apartment is air-conditioned throughout and has ceiling fans in the main living area and bedroom.

If you are coming back from the bus stop there is a significant hill from Middle Road to Southampton road. After that it levels out and there is another small incline when going toward the property.

The reefs and the Fairmont Southampton hotels are both within 2 miles of the property and they offer a selection of different dining options including French, Italian, Asian Fusion, and a highly regarded gastro pub. For a amore intimate feel there is the Dining Room at Gibb's Hill Lighthouse and Henry VIII on the South Shore both independent restaurants offering a broad menu selection.

For the golfer Port Royal, Riddell's Bay as well as the par 3 course at the Fairmont Southampton are all easily accessible and there is a floodlit driving range that is located within 1/2 a mile of the property. The watersports center at Somerset Bridge offers scuba diving, jet ski, kayak, and small boat rental. For those that are after more of an aerobic workout the Bermuda Railway Trail is very accessible providing a scenic walking/running route in a traffic-free environment. Hog Bay Park and Scaur Bay, two of Bermuda's National Parks, are within 2.5 miles. For those that enjoy cycling, pedal bike rentals can be arranged and storage is available for those that choose to bring their own bikes.

Whale Bay and the stunning Church Bay offer wonderful South Shore snorkelling opportunities as well as pink, shell strewn beaches to explore (the famous ones such as Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay are renowned, but you will not want to miss the stunning trio of secret coves tucked between those two larger beaches- Chaplin Bay, Stonehole Bay and Jobson's Cove. These three are the last word in romantic pink sand and gentle surf in splendid seclusion. Snorkeling equipment can be rented at several of the larger beaches such as Horseshoe).

South Shore

A Southampton location is considered to be a very attractive option for visitors in the know. Although the locations in the closest proximity to the beaches of the South Shore tend to be in the most demand, the 22 mile length of the island and its width of less than a mile in most places means that access to those beaches is easy by bus or by moped and that's only after you have savoured the pretty beaches in the immediate area….
