Full of charming Cotswold villages and towns this area has a wide-range of sports, restaurants and shopping opportunities. An array of water sports, walking, lakeside restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Just across the lake, they have Saturday night live music in the Lakeside Brasserie (showing the sports with indoor and outdoor Televisions). In the day the kids can go on water-donuts or water-ski there. Weather you are into antiques, clothes or sporting equipment it has it all. A wide-range of cafes, bars and restaurants - so much choice!

South Cerney

Softplay area for kids (magicland in Cirencester) is within 10 minutes drive, all watersports within immediate vicinity, a beach on the side of a lake just 3 miles away (called Cotswolds Country Park) and many playgrounds. Lovely old pubs with home-made food and gastro pubs are all within walking distance. In Cheltenham they have horse racing regularly and a yearly festival and Cirencester is only 10 minutes away.

We also ask that you do not have music on, nor shout loudly after 11.00pm and ask that people walk quietly down the stairs.

“Absolutely lovely”

Reviewed 8 May 2017

The house is in a great location (peaceful and pretty!) and is very well maintained and well equipped! It was just perfect for what we needed. The open plan lounge, dinning area and kitchen is ideal for family and friends so that everyone is interacting together. The outside area is very cute and right on the lakeside. The inside is nicely decorated and clean. Couldn't have asked for anything more! Thank you!!

“Simply Stunning”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2017

Great location for a perfect peaceful getaway. We stayed with family over New Year and had a wonderful time. The house size is very generous and with a very well equipped kitchen - large family dining area and open plan living. The local area is perfect for walks and great for exploring the Cotswold countryside and local town and villages. We would recommend 10 The Landings to anyone looking for a family retreat. Olivia was really helpful and very organised in making suggestions - the lodge is really well thought through with the decking and views over the lake... simply stunning. Thank you Olivia.

Owner's reply: Hi Sarah Thank you for the lovely review! I'm very pleased you had a wonderful time in the lodge over New Year and that it suited you and your families needs. The open plan living is certainly a great balance of catering for friends and family as well as having a 'homely' feel. I look forward to welcoming you again soon Sarah :) Best wishes Olivia

“Beautiful Lake View”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2014

Four generations of my family stayed at this property for Christmas and for our group of 8 adults, 2 children (aged 4 and 2) and a baby it was almost perfect. We all really enjoyed the views of the lake from the big picture windows in the lounge and the children especially enjoyed being able to go outside on to the deck to see the variety of water birds, and the rest of us had fun trying to name them from inside! We booked knowing that the upstairs twin bedroom has bunk beds and that there is a ladder from this room up to the mezzanine, where my husband and I had planned to sleep, with our grandchildren on the bunk beds below. However, when we saw the ladder we decided against it as it is very steep, and difficult for us to deal with at night, so we had a re-think and our daughter and partner slept there. The downstairs of the property is great for a group because it is open plan with designated areas and everyone can be included. A semi-detached property, it is very spacious, well finished and equipped, and the bathrooms are well appointed. We didn't really set foot outside very much so can't comment on the local area, except to say that we were disappointed we couldn't find a play area nearby for the children, other than at the pub just up the road. I would have expected that each development at the Water Park would have one suitable for young children, but this doesn't seem to be the case. However, the road behind the house was very quiet and great for the children to ride their bikes. I think in Summer the Water Park would be even more beautiful and would like to revisit to find out more about what the area has to offer. Carly, the owner, was very easy to deal with and the booking process was very smooth and I thank her for her helpfulness. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

“SUBLIME MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE”

Reviewed 18 Dec 2013

We loved this place so much we have decided we are regularly going back. Everything in the house was top of the range underfloor heating. The Lake is unbelivable. The service of the owner Carly was outstanding. A place that any person will get attached to once they have been to. Awesome spa, steam pool etc right next to it also a lovely indian restaurant down the road. Everything we needed was here. HIGHLY Reccomened

Owner's reply: Sunny, how kind! Thank you so much for such an outstanding review. I do really love my lodge and I'm so pleased it shows to you and your group. I can't ask for any more than a repeat renter. Have a lovely rest of 2013 and look forward to catching up in 2014. Best wishes to all, Carly

“Great venue for a working weekend”

Reviewed 9 Dec 2013

We use this house for our company annual planning and it works really well. It is modern, warm and has great facilities. Everything works so we can concentrate on business.

Owner's reply: Hi, I am so pleased you feel that way. It seems the lodge ticks the boxes for many types of groups; families, friends and work colleagues. Great. I am happy your happy. Have a great 2013 and look forward to hearing from you again in 2014. Best wishes, carly

“Beautiful, well-equipped, relaxing and family friendly!”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2013

We wanted a homely feel for a weekend away to celebrate my 40th birthday, combined with a bit of luxury and room to celebrate with friends, and The Lodge delivered everything, within beautiful surroundings! As it was November we didn't get the most out of the outdoor decking area but still enjoyed the amazing view across the lake whilst curled up in front of the fire. Perfect!

“Fantastic peaceful location”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2013

Lovely, roomy lodge. We had 8 of us stay here with 2 dogs. Fantastic location, near all the water sports, and local attractions Carly was excellent and kept in touch with us to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely use again

Owner's reply: What great guests are lovely people you are. Always welcome at my lodge. Thank you for staying :)

“Relaxing, quality lodge for an escape !”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2013

We booked this lodge for my mums Ruby anniversary. Carly the owner as other reviews have stated before me is excellent . From the initial contact through to post stay she has always responded to questions in an efficient manner . They ( her cleaner Emily ) even decorated the lodge for us for the occasion to make it that extra special . The lodge is situated on the lake. One of the enjoyable daily activities were feeding the swans and their cygnets . Close by there is a clubhouse where you can walk to quite easily if you feel like a meal and drinks out. The lodge itself is furnished with quality fixtures and fittings and is a home from home . Carly has all the local information available in the lodge should you want to see the local area. In a nutshell , the owner is easy to deal with, the lodge is great and will meet your expectations !

Owner's reply: Such kind words! Thank you! I really appreciate you staying and taking the time to tell others about your experience at my lovely lodge. I am so pleased you enjoyed your Ruby anniversary, such special times. You were brilliant guests, a true gent. I hope to hear from you again. Best wishes Carly :0)

“Excellent - a perfect lodge and setting!”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2013

We had a brilliant time. The lodge was exactly as described, if not better! The view was great and we made good use of the decking, even managing to catch a sunset. The lodge was a perfect size for our large group and the open plan worked really well. All the rooms were furnished to a high standard and everyone commented on the little touches. Carly was very helpful - including organising passes for the local spa. All in all, an excellent stay and highly recommended!

“Beautiful house in a stunning location”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2013

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful lakeside home. The house is beautifully decorated but practical and the views are outstanding. It was so relaxing to sit on the lakeside deck or in the light lounge overlooking the water. The cottage was easy to rent and Carly (the owner) was so helpful with recommending local services and giving tips (getting waitrose to deliver groceries was genius!!) and she made the process hassle free! The cottage is beautifully decorated and very clean and it's also child friendly we took two young children who had a great time! I would highly recommend this rental.
