Welcome to Normandy Barn, a fully Renovated French Barn.

The Barn is sunny, bright and cheerful during summer days, yet warm and inviting during winter due to the underfloor heating and log fire. Welcoming to all.

We are close to several villages with full amenities, patisseries, boulangerie, supermarkets, Banks, chemists and with restaurants and cafes.

Ideal as a get away, home away from home, suited to one or two couples for either a honeymoon or a holiday retreat.

Eclectically styled with Modern and French themes ... tres chic!

The kitchen is well equipped for the Cordon Bleu chef and the Barn is well appointed with quality furnishings.

Perfectly located for day visits to many places of interest such as the spectacular Mont St Michel, Bayeux tapestry and Caen with its links to William the Conquerer.

The Blanche L'Abbeye is in nearby Mortain along with the famous waterfalls, the Cascades.

Mortain is a historical area from WW2, with a spectacular look out over the valley.

The towns close by run Farmers markets on different weekdays, a great find for fresh produce and an experience not to be missed.

Normandy is famous for its wonderful cider, green pastures, stone houses , delicious butter and cheeses.

There are many wonderful restaurants and cafes around, it is difficult to get a bad meal anywhere!

NB: There is a supplement if the 2nd room is used by 1 couple, to cover linen and cleaning.

For 2 couples, the price is an additional 50 GBP.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Suzanne (the owner) a message.

If Suzanne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
