“Great place!”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2016

One of the best holidays we've had so far! The location is very convenient, you can easily travel across the peninsula and then have a quiet place to get to afterwards. The owners are very friendly, and our daughter enjoyed playing in their garden and picking fruits, as well as the fruit cakes made by Valeria. There are different food shops within a few minutes walk, and several nice restaurants. Highly and dearly recommended!

“Center of Village Life”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2015

Comfortable, spacious apt in center of Village. Grocer, Pastry, and homemade Pasta shop across the street. Restaurants within walking distance. Bus to Sorrento 20 mins. Although helpful to have a car. Great location for exploring Sorrento Peninsula, Amalfi Coast, and Pompeii. We enjoyed coming back from busy sightseeing, cooking meat supplied by local butcher, and relaxing with our Limoncello! It is a very quiet village, if you are looking for lots of action, stay in Sorrento, but if you want to experience living the Italian life, this is the place for you. Valeria was a gracious host. Tips - Do not follow GPS, follow the signs. It doesn't know the difference between a four walled one way alley and a road. For Americans, the bathrooms are very large!

“Beautiful and tranquil place to stay... Loved it.”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2015

The drive up to Sant' Agata sui Due Golfi is breathtaking and once you arrive in the village, it's such a delight. Everything is on your doorstep with this accommodation and it is such a friendly place. The Apartment has everything you need, it's clean and well kept and very comfortable. Valeria's instructions on how to get to the apt were fantastic - I just did not read them properly!!! but we found it without too much bother in the end. We would definitely come back as there is a lovely vibe in the village and the accommodation is fantastic for people of all ages. Thanks Valeria for sharing your place with others...

“Great apartment, fantastic location for exploring the Almalfi Coast”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2015

Stayed in this apartment for three nights with my husband and two young children. The apartment was clean, had a great open plan layout and nice outside space. The apartment is walkable to restaurants, bars and shops. The children loved playing in the outside space. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It is in a good location to explore the amalfi Coast and Sorrento. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

“Sorrentine Oasis”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2015

Valeria's apartment in the idyllic town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is a perfect home base for exploring the Sorrentine Peninsula. Situated just 15 minutes above the traditional tourist base of Sorrento, this Holiday Apartment is an oasis of calm. In an otherwise bustling area full of foreign tourists, busses, and mopeds, navigating impossibly narrow roads and admiring the scenic views, this apartment offers a welcome respite, allowing you to recharge and get out and experience everything the area has to offer each new day for the duration of your stay. Pompeii is within easy reach by car. Sorrento is a one-hour hike downhill, and two hours back up. Both Naples and Capri can be reached by high speed ferry from the port in Sorrento, and the entire Amalfi coast unfolds just 20km down the road. A car is an absolute necessity to fully appreciate the entire area. For a panoramic overview on arrival, just 20 minutes walking up to the monastery “Deserto” you can see why the town “Due Golfi” gets it’s name, as the both the bay of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno spread out below the viewpoint at the top of the hill. The apartment itself offers every modern amenity. In this fully furnished ground floor two-bedroom apartment, it is possible to make yourself entirely at home. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the spacious living and dining area. A big picture window lets in plenty of light from outside, and lots of fresh air. If necessary, an air conditioner cools this area as well. The apartment also features a master en-suite bedroom with it’s own patio door leading outside, and a smaller bedroom with two twin beds. A second bathroom with a walk-in shower and washing machine ensures that there is plenty of space for everyone to do what they need to do in the mornings. Outside, plenty of space as well. The apartment is directly below the house of the owners, the entire complex self-contained within a private gated area separate from the rest of the community. Valeria provides a key and remote control for the gate, where you are ensured private and secure parking directly outside the apartment on the patio. The patio spreads out around the entire house, with an area for sunbathing complete with lounge chairs, an area for hanging laundry out to dry, and an al fresco dining area with a sidewalk café ambiance. Valeria was the perfect hostess. She communicated with us prior to arrival, and provided directions and updates for us on the day of. When we had trouble with our car, she recommended a local mechanic, and accompanied me to the garage to provide translation services while it was fixed, including a follow up visit the following day. Lacking a wine bottle opener, and finding the one provided insufficient, Valeria came to the rescue with a proper sommelier knife and saved the day. From providing local travel tips, restaurant recommendations, and enhancing the comfort of our stay, Valeria ensured there was an answer for all of our needs. Our overall experience found us wishing the length of our stay could be more. Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi is the perfect place to stay for exploring this beautiful corner of Italy, and Valeria’s Holiday Apartment served us well as the launching off point for local adventures.

“Perfect location to take in the Amazing Amalfi Coast and Sorrento”

Reviewed 2 Dec 2014

We had and unforgettable Thanksgiving holiday thanks to this place. It was the perfect location for seeing the entire peninsula and both gulfs- close to Sorrento, close to idyllic beaches, close to Positano (Amalfi coast), close to Pompeii. Sant'Agata is a beautiful town with wonderful, friendly people that treated us like family and our host Valeria was the best. Her recommendations for beaches, meals and excursions were spot on and the accomodations were great for our family. You really feel like you are in the best spot in town. She even gave us homemade cookie biscuits for the road. We looking forward to going back and enjoying this little slice of heaven on Earth again. Grazie!

“Perfect solution to the madness of Amalfi”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2014

If you have a car and want to be close to Positanto, Sorrento, Amalfi , Pompeii and Heraculaneum but at the end of the day you want a comfortable spacious retreat with easy parking then this is the place to stay. Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi sits above Sorrento with views towards Naples but also across the Amalfi coast (hence the name). Valeria has set up a perfect apartment, complete privacy but she is close enough to give advice when you need it. We walked down the hill to Sorrento one day, popped up the road to Heraculaneum another and then on our last day drove the loop around the Amalfi coast and back through Meta. We couldn't have picked a better base.

“Great stay, great hosts”

Reviewed 22 May 2014

We had ten days staying at Valeria's apartment in Sant'Agata and loved it. The village has everything you need and great shops for food very close at hand (butcher, fishmonger, greengrocer, gelateria etc etc all within a couple of minutes walk). The apartment is well equipped and very clean. Despite being in the centre of a busy village being on a gated compound made it feel quiet and relaxing. It is also a great base for exploring the sorrentine peninsular with walks from the front door to spectacular views over the coast. Valeria and Maria were both wonderfully welcoming and generous. They are justifiably proud of the lovely small holding the house sits next to with lemon trees, and lots of veg etc cultivated there. We we're encouraged to explore and our two year old loved the chickens!

“A large apartment with lovely outside space and great parking”

Reviewed 17 Oct 2013

My husband and I stayed in Sant'Agata with our little boy. From the village you can access all Amalfi Coast attractions very easily. The location of the villa is superb and just minutes to local shops and restaurants. We were greated very warmly by the family and they stayed extremely discreet throughout the stay. The apartment was very large, well furnished and recently done up. It was absolutely spotless! The only area to improve is perhaps kitchen utensils being quite sparse.

“A gem of the Sorrentino”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2013

Together with my wife and our early teens son we spent an all to brief stay at this lovely apartment in a little village above Sorrento. The facilities and restful space of the apartment were just what we needed after some long busy days sightseeing in Rome. The owners are delightful people and the fresh figs from Mama's garden were delicious. The village of S'Agate is well supplied with restaurants and food shops, all within an easy stroll of the apartment.
