Designed exclusively for adults, Hobby's Rest combines original features and contemporary touches in an enchanting holiday home for two.

Located in the stunningly beautiful Lower Mill Estate, an award winning private estate and nature reserve, there's 550 acres of glorious Cotswolds countryside to explore; including seven lakes, three rivers and miles of exclusive walking and cycling tracks.

Spacious and open plan, Hobby's Rest has soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a stylish wood burner and spectacular orchard views.

A well-equipped kitchen area with integrated appliances and

mid-century-modern tableware complements the overall Scandi style.

There's a relaxed country vibe in the bedroom, with a king-sized oak bed and crisp, cotton linens.

Sleek, modern bathrooms have contemporary fittings and warm Karndean flooring.

A full-width opening glazed screen spans the living area leading to a private patio within a secluded organic orchard. For the exclusive use of just a handful of cottages, the orchard is an oasis of nature and wildlife.

Set within a picturesque cobbled courtyard in a quieter area of Lower Mill Estate, the cottage has an 'off the beaten-track' appeal; but if you're feeling active, there's a real holiday vibe here too.

Cycle, play tennis or swim in the outdoor heated swimming pool. Take out a canoe or paddle board and be enchanted by water voles, otters and beavers in their natural habitat.

Bring your own equipment or hire it here from the friendly staff at the Activity Hub in the Old Mill.

Hobby's Rest includes free, unlimited wifi; SMART TV with freeview, NOW TV and Netflix enabled; DAB radio/music centre by PURE.

Entrance to the Mill Village outdoor heated pool and sauna included.

For spa facilities and beauty therapy treatments, we recommend Spa 6 at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel - 5 minutes away by car.

Please note that access to the Lower Mill Estate Art Spa is not included.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Janet (the owner) a message.

If Janet (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
