Description from owner

Description

In 2016 the cottage had a complete makeover, freshly decorated, new ensuite bathroom, new carpets etc.

There are 3 bedrooms, one double with king size bed, one with double bed and a single. There is also a sofa bed downstairs if needed to sleep total of 7. The cottage is fully equipped, and has a wood burning fire. There are many walks around the estate and beyond, as well as a lovely pub and restaurant within easy walking distance. There are some areas of special interest for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers, and also carp, coarse and trout fishing available on the lakes. There is bike rental facilities on site, but the cottage has 2 kayaks that you are welcome to use (life jackets are available and must be used) The cottage does have TV and Wi-fi internet access.

During school holidays/Peak times we have a minimum 3 night stay.

The pool is heated, and there’s also a sauna. Its shared and a short walk from the cottage. There is also a children play area, trampoline, tennis court, soccer pitch and picnic area by the pool. Great area for cycle rides and walking, both round the estate and nearby area's.

NB this property does not have access to ArtSpa, and the spa doesn't allow casual bookings. There is however a good Spa at the Waterpark and I can supply details.

Property is next to the Thames path, and the fledgling river Thames runs past the wooden deck at the back of the cottage.

Further details

We ask for 100 pounds deposit to secure the dates you require, with Balance to be paid 4 weeks before arrival.

Further details outdoors

Parking for one car directly by the cottage. Some additional parking may be available by the tennis courts.
The estate is very proud of its untouched nature reserves, and has areas of some significance when it comes to bird and wildlife.
Late in 2005 the first European Beavers introduced back into England were released and are thriving in a far corner of the estate.
There are viewing hides from where they can be watched.
The estate is also home to a wide range of Bird life, from waterfowl to owls.
Details of guided walks and the best spots are available from the property or the estate office.
There is some excellent fishing on the estate, both coarse fishing and fly fishing.
The coarse fishing is specialised and mostly specimen fishing, and the lakes would be classified as 'challenging' and not really suitable for beginners. As a tenant you are able to fish (within the estate fishing rules) details of which are available at the house.

“Absolutely amazing!”

Reviewed 30 Nov 2014

We stayed at this lovely cottage over a long weekend. It was the perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend. The cottage itself was fantastically kept, with underfloor heating for those cold autumn months. It was extremely homely and fully equipped with anything one may possibly need (including plenty of board games). We went as a couple but can imagine it would be perfect for a family as well, as there is plenty of space/bathrooms. Would wholeheartedly recommend this to any travelers or anyone seeking respite from busy city life. The location is stunning with beautiful walks and lakes dotted all around with small, cute villages only a short drive away.

“Very Sweet Ideally Located Cotswolds Water Park Cottage”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2014

This lovely cottage is located in a holiday village in the Cotswolds Water Park. The water park is a very picturesque series of man made lakes with extremely tasteful holiday cottages built sensitively around them with loads of wildlife and polite families. The cottage is very sweet and the owner runs it with ease and the minimum of fuss. The cottage is not located in the typical Cotswold pretty old villages but it is within close driving distance of Bibery and other old river towns. For people with young kids, the nearby canoeing, water boarding and go-cycle are ideal and I would definitely recommend.
