We have, and will continue to, refund or rebook every single person who has had to cancel due to Covid restrictions.

We are Covid compliant. We provide: Deep clean and sanitize between guests. Provide hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Replaced two of the carpets with bleach tolerant ones. Removed all toys and games. Guests remove or destroy any books they touch.

Arrival and Departure times from January 2022.

Monday; 10am departure and 4pm arrival.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 10am departure and 3pm arrival.

Friday; 9am departure and 5pm arrival.

Saturday: 10am departure and 4pm arrival.

Sunday: We have no arrivals on Sunday. Departures can be as late as guests wish as our housekeepers don't come in until 6am Monday.

However, for every day of the week, if we have no booking immediately preceding, then arrival can be earlier. We will advise guests within the preceding week.

Corner Cottage.

The 4 bedroom cottage was built in the 1880s and has been sympathetically restored and now offers exceedingly comfortable and surprisingly roomy accommodation. The cottage has all the benefits of modern amenities while retaining its; olde worlde charm such as wood burning stoves (wood provided) and cottage style doors and furnishings etc.

The layout of the cottage, with its king size double with en-suite and twin bedroom at the front, king size double and twin bedroom and family bathroom at the rear - allows separation of the occupants. This arrangement is particularly attractive to two generations or two families. The bedrooms accomodate 9sn adults plus an infant in a cot bed (140 x 70 cm mattress) and an additional travel cot. Downstairs a similar arrangement exists with the front lounge and children's playroom/hall being separated by the rear hall and kitchen from the rear lounge/dining room - enabling guests to have their own space. Particularly appreciated for separation of the age groups! There is also a downstairs cloakroom with a toilet and sink.

In response to enquiries from potential guests who have someone they wish to bring on holiday but who can’t manage stairs we have had a single pull-down bed installed in one of the lounges in Corner Cottage and there is an adjacent downstairs cloakroom which features a toilet and sink.

Outside there is a secure (dogs and/or children) walled courtyard garden with very attractive raised flower beds, herbs and resident tame blackbirds. The barbecue and table, parasol and chairs make dining al fresco a must! There are also beach chairs and equipment stored in our garage.

Two car parking is also provided in our garage and carport plus on-street as crime is non-existent in the village and there are no parking restrictions.

We live in the cottage on a very regular basis and as a consequence you will be holidaying in our home with all the home comforts that you would expect in a home but not usually in a holiday let e.g. hair dryers, fully equipped kitchen, baby equipment including cot, monitor, stair gates, high chairs, baby buggy etc.

Sleeps; 9 adults, 1 infant in a travel cot.

The cottage offers unlimited BT fibre superfast broadband.

If your weekend booking ends on a Sunday you can stay all day and enjoy a lie in or a lovely Sunday Roast Lunch at one of our excellent local Restaurants or Hotels. The cleaners won't be in until early Monday morning.

Please note; the automated self booking facility is only available for bookings up to 360 days in advance. For bookings further ahead than this please request a quote from me which I will be only too pleased to provide.

When you have booked we provide an introductory letter with lots of details about the cottage and area. It provides details on reaching the cottage and access. Contact details for booking our favourite restaurant and details of local shops are also provided. Some guests arrange a delivery from their favourite supermarket. When you arrive you will find our "Welcome Book" which provides lots and lots of information about the cottage and surrounding area and facilities. We also provide our landline and mobile phone numbers so that you can always contact for help or information. Our manager on-site lives right opposite the cottage and is equally available for help and advice.

Change of plans? No problem. You could receive a partial or full refund, depending on when you cancel.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Bernard (the owner) a message.

If Bernard (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
