From the owner

The Bolthole is located in a tradfitional Norfolk Village. The pretty market square - which becomes a twinkling wonderland at Christmas, and a fab award winning gastro pub and great little Bistro are a 10 minute stroll away. Then there's the unspoilt beaches, woods, coastal nature reserve, and RSPB bird reserve....The Royal estate of Sandringham is a five minute drive.

It's an old, character property in a quiet, peaceful location. Comfortably furnished but with all you need including Wi-fi, flat screen TV & built in DVD, ipod hi-fi system & turntable. There's an open fire for winter ( a starter pack of logs & coal included) and a lovely courtyard garden for summer that gets the sun all afternoon into the evening. Just right for alfresco dining and BBQ's.

The master bedroom is a large light and airy room with a lovely king size bed.

Games, books, maps, CD's, DVD's & LP's provided.

You are greeted with wine, bread & milk. And you get lots of extras. Tea, coffee, sugar etc etc...

Dogs are welcome. The garden is secure.

Check in is from 3pm and check out is 10am. I will do my best to accommodate an earlier check in or later check out, so please do ask.

A BBQ in the form of a chiminea is provided so you can just have a fire if the evening turns a little chilly. Garden table & chairs provided.

Parking is directly in front of the cottage. It's on the road but it's not busy.

The towel rail is controlled by the central heating but you can't put on the heating. The hot water was poor for bathing and ran out after 3 days. Overall it should be much cleaner.

I have to say I am completely shocked by your review. Firstly it's a Combi boiler so the hot water is instant. It doesn't therefore run out. The heating is easily controlled by using the thermostat in the kitchen Radiators are thermostatically controlled so can be turned off at source meaning you could have towel rail on and radiators off. All this is in my information folder in the cottage. If there was an issue it would have been good if you'd let me know immediately as I have a service contract with British Gas and this could have been sorted straight away. Again, this is in my information folder. Guests can contact British Gas direct if anything does go wrong. Again ,this is stated in my information folder. I have had several guests since your stay and no one has reported any problems so I really do not understand. I am however, sorry to hear that you did not have a satisfactory stay but really do wish you'd flagged any issues with me at the time. I will raise the 'cleaning' issue with my housekeepers but again, can only say, if you'd let me know I could have inspected it. I honestly never get complaints about cleanliness. I treat all reviews seriously and will check into everything you have said.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sarah (the owner) a message.

If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
