A wi-fi signal is available if you need to contact the outside world. Signal strength is not always good due to location, but most of the pubs and cafes in Sneem offer free wi-fi for when the signal is weak here.

Cyclists and walkers can join the Kerry walking and cycle ways.

The lane accessing the property ends here, so no passing traffic to spoil your peace and quiet. Walkers can continue up through the forest beyond, and up onto the ridge.

Sikka deer and hare wander across the farm regularly.

Situated 6km from the village, it offers peace and quiet and an ideal base to explore the Iveragh peninsular.

Please ask the owner if you require transport to and from the village in the evening. Sneem has several pubs, some offering traditional Irish music to keep you entertained in the evening. There are several excellent cafes, tea shops and gift shops, and shops providing basic groceries. There is a post office in the village and an ATM in Christians Mace grocery shop.

There is a large workshop on the farm for motorcyclists and cyclists to carry out basic maintenance, and for covered parking if required.

Flexible changeover day and short stays where possible.

This property was built before wheelchair and disabled access were thought of, so unfortunately, due to steep stairs and steps, it is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

Kenmare has bank facilities and a good range of shops, there is a bustling market on Wednesdays, and Saturdays in the summer.

Killarney is an hours drive away over the beautiful Molls Gap road. There are many festivals and Fairs during the year. Sneem has a Family festival week in July.

Bridget's cottage is comfortable and has fantastic views. A great place to kick back and relax. The owners, Sue and Gary, are really welcoming & helpful. We will be returning next year!
