CONONLEY - 2 bedroom cottage with 2 bathrooms. This stone Cottage is finished to a high specification throughout incl 3 TVs and WiFi. Offering stunning views across the Aire Valley from the Cottage's private patio area, and beautiful hillside from the rear. Cononley is a lovely little village at the entrance to the Yorkshire Dales with a charming pub and an impressive Park. Ten minutes walk to railway station with direct trains to Skipton (10 mins) Leeds and Bradford (30 mins). WHEN REVIEWING PRICES PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT TABLES DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS.

House rules

Please note that our Cottage is not a party house. We live next door so we are your neighbours as well as 8 other surrounding properties. We therefore insist that you are respectful of our neighbours and as such keep noise levels to a minimum from 10pm-7:30am. The Cottage is detached so you do not have to be particularly careful when inside. I am referring more to when you enter the Cottage and whilst you use the patio. Thank you for your co-operation regarding this.

Very Good

“Friendly welcoming cottage”

We stayed for 4 nights and had everything we needed. Gemma the host was extremely helpful, going out of her way to help us when we forgot a bag of essentials! The house had everything we needed and the pint of milk on arrival was great for the much needed cup of tea. The two bathrooms were great and the kids enjoyed the bathtub upstairs with its different widths. We were provided with a highchair and cot which was really useful. The playground in the village is fabulous for running off excess energy! Overall we had an excellent stay and would definitely return. Thank you.

Fantastic holiday. This beautiful cottage was a perfect location to visit lots of the dales beauty spots. The village of connenly has 2 fantastic pubs. Both very family friendly. The village has a lovely park perfect for children. Definitely recommend this accommodation. Ease of booking paying and communication made everything run very smoothly

The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. A real home from home and perfect for a family of four. Having two bathrooms was great! The cottage is very well equipped and furnished and Gemma is the perfect host. We will definitely be recommending this cottage to our family and friends and hope to visit again in the future.

“Mini moon retreat”

We stayed here for our wedding day and for a few days after and it couldn't have been better! The house was beautifully fernished with amazing beds,super comfy sofas and even the carpet was nice. Kitchen was fantastic and bathrooms where great. Amazing power shower. We were made to feel very welcome by Gemma and was so friendly. The location had amazing views and set in stunning countryside. Over all a amazing cottage and we will definitely return.

We stayed for 3 nights so that we could attend a family wedding locally. The cottage is clean, modern and well equipped. We were made to feel very welcome by Gemma who stays next door. The views across the Aire valley are beautiful and although there are not many restaurants or takeaways in the village it is very convenient for local towns. A car is essential. My wife says I should give it 5 stars, the only reason for not doing so is that I didn't find the seating very comfortable in the living room. (must be my age!). We would happily stay again.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I am sorry to hear that you did not find the sofas in the lounge comfortable. I do agree that leather sofas do not always provide the same level of comfort as fabric ones. However, I love the fact I can thoroughly clean them upon every departure and it would be impossible to provide the same level of cleanliness with fabric sofas. Also, I must stress to potential guests I am not excusing uncomfy sofas!! I don't find them at all uncomfy but appreciate that everyone is different! Another thing to point out is that we've had several guests stay without a car as they have used the regular train service as their mode of transport. Again, this wouldn't work for everyone though many of our guests come in their car and still use the train service. Thanks again for your comments and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

I chose this holiday cottage after reading the glowing reviews & I`m very glad that I did. From the moment of booking, the owner Gemma, kept in touch, sending valuable information on directions and things to see & do. On arrival we were very pleased with the presentation of the cottage. The welcoming information & the milk and biscuits, which went down a treat with our little Granddaughter. The accommodation is clean, modern and above all, very comfortable. The kitchen area has everything you could need for a short break or longer holiday. We all enjoyed a few good nights sleep, the beds are really comfortable. The village is lovely, the area is quiet, the fabulous playground was visited every day! There are plenty of places to visit in close proximity, we caught the train from the village into Skipton, which gave us a car free day. Hesketh farm (near Bolton Abbey) is a must for little children. Overall, we all had a lovely holiday and will most definitely return.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
