Description

Villa Seagull, beautifully finished and designed to be ideal for families or groups of up to three couples, each double bedded bedroom has either a bathroom or shower room en-suite. There is a sofa bed in the larger bedroom for those who require a room with two beds - maybe for teenagers or children. A neat garden and two descending flights of approximately eight steps remove the front of Villa Seagull from the roadside parking area. Inside, the open plan living room is uncluttered with modern clean lines with the many windows revealing views of the garden, the pool and, of course, the sea. The sitting area is furnished with a deep brown leather sofa and two occasional chairs and there's a plasma TV and DVD player. Opposite the sitting area, the smart kitchen has plenty of light wood cupboards topped with shiny granite and is perfectly equipped for holiday catering, with dishwasher, large fridge freezer, microwave and electric oven with ceramic hob. There's a wood dining

Inside, the open plan living room is uncluttered with modern clean lines with the many windows revealing views of the garden, the pool and, of course, the sea. Opposite the sitting area, the smart kitchen has plenty of light wood cupboards topped with shiny granite and is perfectly equipped for holiday catering, with dishwasher, large fridge freezer, microwave and electric oven with ceramic hob. There's a wood dining table and six neat leather chairs but probably the favoured dining spot will be through the French doors from the kitchen, on the covered sea view terrace, sunny in the morning, shaded from the midday sun and furnished with a second table and chairs. On the ground floor there is a shower room with walk in shower, which is where the washing machine is found and the first of the double bedrooms with its own terrace through French doors. Just a few steps to the pool, this will be the first choice for those who like an early morning swim. One double bedroom on the first floor has an en-suite shower room with a walk in shower and a lovely covered sea view terrace, furnished with table and chairs. The second, even more spacious double room, has plenty of space for the sofa bed a bathroom ensuite, with a shower over the bath and a good sized sea view balcony furnished with table and chairs. Outside, the private swimming pool is set in lawned gardens with plenty of space for the sun beds. There is a barbecue on the terrace at the front of the Villa, which catches the afternoon and evening sun and has mountain views.

Location description from manager

The Ionian Islands region

Skala

An exceedingly pleasant and laid back family resort with an excellent choice of tavernas and bars, the village of Skala in the south east of the island. On the outskirts of the village itself a grove of shady pine trees spreads down towards the beach from the village, and the heady scent of resin is almost intoxicating.

The sandy beach runs 4 kms around the bay so, if you prefer not to use the sunbeds and parasols for hire on the main beach, then you can always find your own space further along the sandy shoreline. For a little more privacy, pretty little pebbly beaches can be found along the coast road running north towards Poros 12 kms away. Here you'll find a pretty harbour in a sheltered bay where pine forested hillsides rise dramatically out of the sea. In the other direction, sandy Kaminia beach, 3 kms to the west of the village, is one of the nesting grounds for loggerhead turtles.

A couple of kilometres inland the old town of Skala up in the forested slopes behind the resort makes an interesting excursion by foot or car and of historical interest are the remains of a Roman Villa with beautifully preserved mosaics, for which there are signs throughout the town to point you in the right direction.

You can also take one of the trips on a glass bottom boat that makes regular trips along the coast and over to the mythical island of Ithaca.
