Despite its proximity to the bars and shops and restaurants in Calahonda, the development is quiet and peaceful but near enough to the more bustling resorts and beaches for those who want to sample the same. Private tennis courts are available, across the road from the apartment. For golf enthusiasts there are innumerable golf courses a few minutes drive away. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom / shower room. There is a separate shower room with w.c and wash basin. Hairdryers are provided. Smoke alarm fitted. The lounge/ dining room has two, 2 seater leather settees.A 32" LCD tv offering freeview/ android downloaods , a dvd player (with a selection of dvds), a cd player and a contemporary dining table and seating for four, which can be extendedFree wifi.The kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic hood with cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, Fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron, ironing board and all necessary utensils. The larger resorts of Marbella ( 10-15 minutes drive), Puerto Banus (15-20minutes drive), and the market town of La Cala (6 minutes drive ) can all be reached using the inexpensive local bus service. The bus fare to Marbella is less than 3E os .Lovely restaurants at eat at within the El Zoco complex next to the apartment block or within 10 minutes walk e.g. try Maxs Beach or the Italian restaurant @ Riviera.

The Costa del Sol is renowned for its beaches, resorts, golf courses and of course the excellent weather. The Costa del Sol has on average over 320 days of sunshine each year and is an ideal location for an off peak break when you are longing for bright skies. Apart from sunbathing, shopping and golfing activities there is plenty to do and see in the region, beautiful countryside in the nearby mountains, historic towns such as Mijas with its breathtaking views and the former fishing village and market town of La Cala de Mijas. Water parks, a zoo and the famous Tivoli World are only a short drive away. Visit the nearby resorts/ villages/ towns of Marbella, Puerto Banus, Mijas, La Cala, Cabopino, Benalmadena, Rhonda.

Marbella - great beach , shops, restaurants- visit Orange Square.

Puerto Banus- well known for its marina- yachts,restaurants, bars & designer shops.

Mijas, a lovely Spanish village in the hills above Fuengirola.

La Cala- pretty Spanish coastal town with a really good large market on Wednesdays & Saturdays.

Cabopino- great beach, small marina, restaurants & beach bars.

Benalmadena- lovely marina surrounded by shops. Take the ferry there from Fuengirola.

Rhonda- historic town in the mountains above Marbella.

Sitio de Calahonda

Calahonda is situated on the Mijas Costa between Fuengirola and Marbella. It is an ideal location from which to explore the Costa Del Sol and surrounding areas. There are an extensive range of bars and restaurants in Calahonda to suit all tastes, providing plentiful entertainment for those who wish to unwind after a hard days sunbathing with a visit to a friendly local restaurant. For those who want to party until dawn, the nearby resorts of Fuengirola, Marbella and Puerto Banus will provide a vast choice of venues.If anyone likes markets- go to La Cala on Wednesdays & Saturdays- really good, large market. There is a small market at Calahonda / Calypso on Thursdays (walk towards the coast with Medina Del Zoco & El Zoco on your right, turn left at the bottom of the road along a small path & you are there).There is a lovely board walk from Maxs Beach at Riviera to La Cala (approximately 3 miles) overlooking the sea, with beach bars along the way. From Spring 2015 work is on-going to extend the board walk from Riviera towards Marbella.

“Beautifully Kept and Welcoming”

We stayed for one week in this fantastic apartment.It was was very clean and well kept. The air conditioning worked very well and the balcony provided shade and sun throughout the day. The apartment is within easy walking distance for shops, beach so you dont really need a car, although an underground space is provided. The pool and the surrounding gardens were well kept. We would definitely recommend this apartment

“Excellent Accommodation”

The accommodation is just as explained, if not better. The location is excellent, the apartment was immaculate and had everything required by a family of 4 (2 children aged 10 and 12 years). The gardens and complex are clean and tidy. Security is one of our key priorities and the 1st floor location and excellent security measures ensured a relaxed stay. There are 2 very good supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance and many restaurants in close proximity. One of the best apartments we have stayed in and worth using the Solfinders private taxi service. It is slightly more expensive than an airport taxi but they greet you at the airport and transport you to your door. Ann was incredibly helpful and accommodating and we would definitely return.

The apartment is just as described. Its in a very central complex and the block we were in was very quiet - no noise from our neighbours at all. Supermarkets and lots of restaurants are just down the road. . Ann had given us information on places to visit and we certainly enjoyed visiting the market in la Cala on a Wednesday. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need - TV worked through the internet and we could receive all the English channels. Lots of towels and extra bedding if you needed it. We liked the balcony where we could sit and enjoy the sun. Calahonda is well situated if you want to explore and we drove easily to Granada to visit the Alhambra, to Ronda and to Antequera which is a lovely town with lots of history and well worth a visit

Arrived on a Sunday and picked up keys from the agents security box which is 3 mins from the property. The apt was spotless, extremely well maintained, good fixtures and fittings and in a very convenient location for beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. All in all an excellent property in a great location, to be recommended.

This apartment was everything it says it is,it is located next to El Zoco which has various good and well priced restaurants and a good super market ( super sol).Also a excellent bus service to Marbella or Fuengirola.I have stayed in many holiday apartments along this coast line and this one has to be the best.We hired a car as we are golfers and needed to go to various places,there is an underground car park or parking directly out side.The apartment has everything you need to feel at home,the sofas are good quality and very comfortable as are the beds,most rental apartments do not have quality furnisher.Plenty of bedding including blanket and quilts and soft towels.An local long established agent manages this property and the service was great, with 24 call out if needed,which we did not need .Communication between myself and the owners was also excellent and my deposit was returned within 12 hours of my return home.I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend this apartment.We are a couple in our 50s

My wife and I stayed in this apartment throughout the whole of November and having previously stayed at other apartments within the Medina Del Zoco complex were fully aware of how convienient the location is regarding the close proximity of supermarkets, restaurants, bars and not least the beach. I would like to compliment the owner on the having the best presented apartment that we have encountered so far. the decor is modern and the furnishing and facilities are first class for holiday accommodation. Above all the cleanliness throughout was exemplary and all electrical facilities functioned perfectly. When enquiring and booking the holiday all comunication with the owner was responded to quickly and concisely, and the photographs and description of the apartment really are a true reflection of its quality. Top marks Ann for making a memorable holiday possible.

“What a lovely apartment”

This apartment was like home from home. It had endless utensils, crockery etc. and the bed linen and towels were changed. The balcony was nice to sit on and relax. Was very handy having two bathrooms when we were all getting ready. The complex was also very nice, the pool was clean and the gardens kept nice. Will definitely consider returning.

This was probably the best apartment in which we have stayed in the Calahonda area (and we have stayed in a fair few over the years), due to several aspects. Its position is great, walking distance to the shopping centre with many restaurants/bars/supermarkets, and walking distance to the beach too. It is modern, and immaculate and has everything you need for a home away from home holiday.

Thanks, really pleased you rated it and enjoyed your stay. Your recommendation is pretty outstanding but I hope well deserved.

Firstly the directions were really easy to follow, a lovely modern apartment without the need for a car which is unusal in the location of cala honda, in walking distance of supermarket and plenty varied restaurants, the apartment is modern and lovely and looks exactly as in the picture which is unusal because we have always found they generally look more tired when you arrive, the compex has a lovely pool too set in pleasant gardens which the balcony overlooks, the only things i could grumble about if i was been particluarly picky would be the air con struggled to cool the rooms down on an evening, but it was exceptional hot whilst we were there, and we could have done with a couple more bath towels but i am sure if we had asked the agents sol finders for more they would have given us more, instead i used the washing machine in the apartment to wash them so it wasnt a problem, also we had a late flight home on day of departure and they were very obliging they let us stay until 4.30 instead of the usual 11.00 departure which was most helpful and gave us almost an extra day around the pool which was lovely. i would recommend this apartment dont hesitate you will not be disapointed!!!

We wanted to let everyone know how much we enjoyed our stay in this apartment at Cala Honda. We had visited the area once before about 10 years ago so knew how lovely it is but staying in this lovely apartment certainly added to our holiday. We found the apartment to be very tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the balcony and spent most of our time out there when in the apartment. The pool and surrounding gardens were a treat and we had no difficult acquiring loungers particularly as we tend to be early risers. The information provided for us by the Ann (the owner) helped enormously and the transport she arranged for us to and from the airport could not have been smoother and the drivers could not have been more helpful. All in all an excellent family holiday. We appreciated all the help given by this owner and certainly know who to contact should we visit Cala Honda again.
