La Siesta II is a pretty development of low rise apartments with lovely open gardens, Swimming Pool and plenty of sun bathing areas. This is a ground floor garden apartment which also has a large terrace on the opposite side overlooking the extensive communal gardens. The apartment is furnished for outside living plus has access to the large shared pool.

You enter the apartment through the garden terrace where there is a well proportioned lounge area with feature fireplace and two comfortable settees. To one side is a formal dining table and chairs and an additional settee.

Off the corridor from the lounge is a fully fitted and equipped separate kitchen that has everything a self-catering family could need to enjoy their holiday.

The two bedrooms both have two single beds with plenty of storage space for all your holiday clothes. The family bathroom is spacious and has bath, shower over, WC, basin and mirror. The additional shower room has a wc, shower cubicle, basin

The Costa del Sol region

Calahonda is situated just off the A7 (N-340), a coastal highway, that sits between the mountains and the sea and links all the resorts between Gibraltar and Nerja You are just 30 minutes from Malaga airport and only 15 minutes away are the lively towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus. Within a twenty-minute drive of the apartment you have the pick of more than 20 first class 18 hole golf courses - all open to the public - small wonder that this area is internationally known as the 'Costa del Golf.

With the apartment centrally located near Marbella sightseeing is so simple. Within easy reach are the renowned cities of Granada, Malaga, Cordoba and Seville. Gibraltar with the Famous Rock Monkeys and Dolphin Cruises is around 1 hour drive. Venture a little inland and explore the many White Villages such as Casares, Gaucin, Mijas and Benahavis or take a trip to Ronda with its ancient Bull Ring, Arab Baths and the breathtaking gorge. For fun days out there are Water Parks, Wild Life Parks and Marine Adventure Centres very close. The apartment is also ideal for Non-Golfers who enjoy quality accommodation in a peaceful and un-crowded setting.

Sitio de Calahonda

Calahonda is a large Spanish town built on a hillside. Further larger beaches at La Cala and Cabopino are 5 minutes drive or a bus ride away. There are 2 main commercial centres with supermarkets, gift shops, banks etc. and a weekly street market at the nearby village of La Cala approx 6 kms away. Calahonda is a great place to holiday with much to do locally and within easy reach of both Marbella and Fuengirola, golf courses, tennis clubs, and watersports.

Tivoli World Amusement Park with its cable car rides is suitable for adults and children, set in beautiful landscaped gardens, with over 40 rides and numerous shows. This is approx 15 -20 minutes drive away in Benalmadena.

Waterpark. Fuengirola, ten minutes drive away (or bus ride) has a large water park, zoo, shopping centre and beach as well as some wonderful tapas bars.

Both Marbella and Porto Banus have wonderful beaches, restaurants and luxury shops.
Porto Banus is also famous for its habour and yachts.

There are a number of golf courses in the area and on Calahonda itself there is a nine hole course. Miraflores and La Chaperell, both within 10 minutes drive, are 18 hole courses.

The picturesque town of Mijas is 20 minutes drive into the hills and is famous for its views, white houses and donkeys.

If visiting Gibraltar which is about an hours drive away you will be able to see St. Michaels Cave, the apes, and go on dolphin tours, but your passport is essential.
