A very welcoming large apartment offering 102m2 of accommodation arranged as 2 double and 1 twin-bedded, lounge, dining-room over 2 floors. 2 large walk-in wet room shower. Large terraces giving another 50m2 of accommodation - great for al fresco eating or sun-bathing.
4th floor so a climb as there isn't an elevator but the view, terraces and space make this worthwhile.
The apartment is located in the centre of town close to all the shops, bars, restaurants and cafés that Sitges offers and only a 30 second walk from the promenade and 17 beaches of Sitges.
Ideal for a family or group of friends that are seeking comfort a central location.
An ideal location for discovering more about the "Jewel of the Mediterranean" and it's eclectic, bohemian but immensely welcoming ambience. Also ideal as a base for exploring further afield such as the cava and wine producers that abound, especially recommending Cordoniu for its informative and well conducted tour. Don't miss out on the chocolate producer Simon Coll and their very interesting and welcoming explanation of their history and that of chocolate from its discovery. Great value at only 5euros!
Great meals await you especially if you venture both around town, along the promenade and further afield - really worth exploring to discover gems known only to the locals but welcoming to all and incredible value for lunch or dinner.
Above all Sitges is a place to relax and enjoy a re-charge of the batteries but also a great place to explore what is on offer in the town and country

The Catalunia region
Catalonia (Catalunya) has a long and proud history. Sitges has become a premier resort town with a very cosmopolitan, laid-back approach. Lazy days on the beach, late eating and clubbing are the usual order of the day although Sitges has much more to offer with its museums and art gallery and cultural programme. Great shopping especially for clothes, shoes, kitchen ware and interior decoration. Quirky eateries and bars offer lots of variety for snacks or enjoying a beer or glass of wine while the many and varied restaurants provide quality food and wines at reasonable prices. The 17 beaches of Sitges offer space and sun-loungers and umbrellas.
Barcelona is only a 35 minute train ride away in air-conditioned trains with its vibrant atmosphere, world class shopping and new and old city to explore, including some of the world's best eateries, jazz clubs, night clubs and laid back welcoming attitude.
Around Sitges do take time to visit the vineyards and wineries and sample the produce! Also a chocolate factory tour, good golfing from excellent Par 3 "Pitch & Putt" for only 14euros per 18 hole round to championship courses less than a 1 hour drive away. Horse riding, jet skis, paragliding all await the energetic and in Sitges the local municipal gym with large indoor pool is excellent value.
Home to Santiago Rusiñol at the turn of the 20th century and his bohemian followers Sitges has a large number of art galleries and museums housing some good art. In the Summer there is also a varied cultural programme with tango, patchwork festival, vintage car rally, epicurean tasting markets, film festival, International theatre festival and local delights such as human towers and sardana dancing.
Popular with the gay community which has a Gay pride in June.
Sitges also has 2 large firework displays for the celebration of its twin saints -Bartomeu and Tecla in August and September.
Sitges Caranaval is world-renowned in February/March with 5 days of partying and dressing up and watching the many floats of the Carnaval Parade.
Barcelona is only 35 minutes away by fast and reliable train.
Sitges is a cosmopolitan town only 36kms from Barcelona. It is popular with artists and the gay community because of the over 300 days of sunshine that the town normally enjoys, being protected by the Garraf. Originally a fishing village dating from the 11th century the town has become more of a mecca for those seeking a great night-life, lazy days on the beach and a host of extramural activities:
*Carnaval - usually in February (12 to 18 Feb in 2015) - is an hedonistic and costume drama
*Vintage car rally in March shows off the old crocks
*Gay Pride 18 to 22 June 2015
*Corpus Christi in June when the streets are decorated with flower petals in intricate designs
*Fiesta Major in the third week of August with fireworks on the 23rd
*Fiesta Minor in the third week of September, with fireworks on the evening of the 22nd
*Wine harvest celebrations around 12 September and Catlonia National day on 11 September
*Sitges International Theatre Festival in September
*Sitges Film Festival in early October with the now famous "Zombie Walk" on the second Saturday
all make for a full and varied calendar of events, completed with the Christmas Day promenade stroll usually in glorious warm sunshine with the more mature ladies wrapped up in their furs!

"very well located, large terrrace, quite rooms: we enjoy our stay"
Third time I rent this flat with friends during the summer. Flat in the center town, close to beachs, bars, but the rooms are suprizingly quite. 2 levels attic appartment, with 2 large terraces. All equipment available, Wifi. A/C in the 3 rooms. The 2nd level has 1 room, 1 bathroom (if you want, you can have a shower looking at the sea!), 1 terrace but deckchair are missing. Less pleasant: very difficult to stabilise the temperature while having a shower (too hot or cold, same in the 2 bathrooms); last floor of the building without elevetor. --> Very pleasant stay
