“Lovely, well appointed cottage”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2014

We have stayed at Le Pigeonnier 3 times and enjoyed each holiday very much. The children loved the pool and the lovely large garden on 3 levels. The downstairs lounge overlooking the pool was a bonus, especially on very hot days as it was lovely and cool The house is lovely and light with comfortable furniture and very well equipped It is ideally placed for numerous places to visit including Beynac, Castlenaud, Limieux, the beautiful La Roque Gageac, Les Milandes and many more. There are 2 golf courses only 10 minutes walk away and both have a bar and restaurant.

“Perfect getaway for couples and families”

Reviewed 19 Jan 2014

We love France and have been several times over the previous years. We have stayed at the cottage several times and find that it is perfect for a relaxing, situated in a quiet town but close enough to enjoy all of what is on offer in the local area. It is close to Bergerac making it easy to fly in approx 30 mins from there and has great local amenities(supermaket and bakers) less than 5 minutes from the house. There is plenty to do in the area Sarlat is well worth a visit and is 30 mins drive for you pretty town with plenty of restaurants and shops. Worth a trip to the Chateau des Milandes close to the house it is a beautiful place, Josephine Baker former home along with the tour they have a falconry show great for both adults and kids. We have found the owners to be extremely helpful with our stay and have given us some great days out and would go back again to the house.
