The Villa is ideally located for anyone who is looking for privacy and quiet, although the towns of Silves and Messines, both accessed within 10 minutes, have plenty of restaurants and bars.
It is set in an area that is predominately agricultural with citrus fruits, avocados, mangos and olives grown locally. It is ideally situated to give east access(about 20 mins) to the beaches around Armacao de Pera, Albufeira and Carvoeiro, and the beautiful countryside around Monchique and Alte.
For anyone looking for a golfing holiday, there are several newly opened golf courses nearby which are quieter and cheaper than those on the coast.

The Algarve region
The Algarve is situated on the Southern coast of Portugal, it therefore enjoys the best climate, warm winters, and hot summers with always a breeze.
It is renown for its beautiful beaches, which vary from secluded coves with amazing cliffs. to vast stretches of golden sandy beach. The interior is very beautiful, with mountains covered in eucalyptus trees, and small villages barely touched by tourism.
Silves was the ancient capital of the Algarve, and was a fortified town, the castle and some of the walls still remain. It is situated on the river, with many fine restaurants and lively bars.
At the same distance from the villa is S:B: Messines, which has many restaurants and bars, but not as many tourists.
the house is in a country area, surrounded by small farms growing mainly citrus fruits, avocados and mangoes.
these can be purchased directly from the farmers at very reasonable prices.
the house gives easy access to a range of beaches, from long sandy beaches to secluded coves.
There are water parks, zoos including zoo marine with its impressive dolphin show, horse riding and many walks withing a 20 min drive from the house.
For golfers, there is an amazing range of courses, two within a 20 minute drive from the house.
