Description

We bought Kokopelli because we love the location and regularly spend time in Devon getting away from it all – It’s an incredibly relaxing place. As a couple, we both work hard and this is our bolt hole. We have 2 daughters, a cat and dog (called Moose) who also enjoys the walks around the area, be it on the many paths in and around the Donkey Sanctuary or along the coastal path to our favourite local pub, the Fountainhead (great food, drink and atmosphere!)

We decided to call our cottage Kokopelli because of the happy memories it conjures up. Kokopelli is a character we came across on a holiday in Moab, Utah in the USA. Moab is a beautiful area with fantastic canyons, rock formations and vibrant colours. It is an amazing place to enjoy many outdoor activities cycling, hiking, climbing, rafting. The key ingredient being fun and adventure and we hope these are just a couple of things you experience during your stay. By the way Kokopelli is a trickster character and represents the spirit of music!

It is south facing so making it ideal for breakfasts and BBQs on the terrace in the sun. It is surrounded by grass so ideal for dogs and children but it is also quiet and private so equally great for couples or friends.

There is wifi but it is provided by a mobile broadband and is Not suitable for streaming TV or films unless you are happy that this will use up your allocated data very quickly . We have a fair usage policy as we do not have unlimited data and allocate 25GB for each week . If a guest exceeds this allowance we have to purchase bolt ons which cost £15 for each 10 GB and this will be deducted from your deposit . We will advise you after 20GB has been used .

We allow well behaved dogs but reserve the right to charge £30 if we have to pay for extra cleaning time after you have left the cottage.

Getting around

A car is recommended but there is a bus stop a short walk away and buses run regularly to and from the donkey sanctuary 5 minutes walk away.

Interaction with guest

We dont live near by but have a lovely housekeeper who lives close by.we make a point of contacting our guests before and give them lots of local information and help as much as we can. We are happy to give you are mobile numbers in case you need to contact us during your stay .

House rules

We charge £20 extra for a dog for cleaning.
Dogs should bekept on a lead or under control on the site.

At night time, please keep noise levels from televisions and music players to a minimum as sound does tend to travel.
Please DO NOT SMOKE inside the cottage at any time
Please bring dog towels and throws to help protect furniture and please do not allow on the beds unless you cover them with an old sheet etc of your own.
