“Favourite Place”

Reviewed 16 Feb 2016

My husband and I enjoyed a week in the Delderfield Suite of Bulverton House. This is our third year staying here, and we plan to be back next year. Everything in the suite was just perfect as always, and Geoff was a great host. We recommend it to friends for either a couples holiday or a family staying in the Samson suite.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your great reviews - Bulverton House

“A delightful place to stay”

Reviewed 27 Dec 2015

We needed somewhere to stay not far from the Donkey Sanctuary as my husband and I were doing some training there. This was perfect: beautifully and practically furnished, the accommodation was just as we'd hoped based on the website. All mod cons were available and the cottage was extremely warm, clean, dry and comfortable. Great shower, huge bath, comfy bed, heating as and when needed (we barely used it as the weather was so mild). Plenty of safe parking and good lighting in winter weather. Lovely little sitting out area which is accessed through the French windows in the lounge area. Sidmouth and the surrounding area is lovely - all well worth a visit. Geoffrey is charming - and clearly committed to making the visitors comfortable. All highly recommended.

Owner's reply: We do get many guests that stay with us so they can visit the Donkey Sanctuary, especially during May (Donkey Week), thank you Liz - Bulverton House

“So relaxing”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2015

Everything has been thought of in this self catering cottage. We had a brillliant time and speaking personally as a cricket fan to have integrated radio in the bathroom & good wifi was so nice. The garden is just lovely (although we would have made more use had the weather been more friendly!). But Geoffrey has thought of everything and it was all great. My only problem was a very warm bedroom and if I came again I would bring a fan. But it was pretty faultless and the independence just so refreshing.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for this review - We will look at improving our operating instructions for the electric Velux window & blind system in the bedroom, this can be used 'blind-down' during a hot day which will help prevent the room from heating up and affecting night-time temperature. We do look forward to your next visit.

“Excellent 5 star accommodation”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2015

Beautiful place, spotlessly clean and we received a warm welcome from the owner. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable accommodation and would definitely visit again and/or recommend to couple looking for peaceful break.

Owner's reply: Thank you Peter - Bulverton House

“First class accommodation on the edge of the lovely seaside town of Sidmouth”

Very comfortable and restful property, with all the facilities you could wish for. We enjoyed our stay so much we plan on returning to this area again next year.

Owner's reply: Thank you Ian - Bulverton House

“Very comfortable and well equipped”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2015

a great location for exploring the Jurassic & Triassic coast and the SW Coast Path. Only 20 minutes easy walking down into Sidmouth (uphill back...) with good bus connections along the coast and to Exeter. The Delderfield Suite is compact, cosy & very comfortable with access easily from the good car park with no steps.

Owner's reply: Thank you Wyn, glad you enjoyed our Delderfield Suite - Bulverton House

“I recommend Bulverton House to my friends.”

Reviewed 1 Mar 2015

This was our second year to stay in the Delderfield Suite at the Bulverton House. We enjoyed it just as much as the first time and plan to go again next year. The Delderfield is beautifully decorated and spotless. The kitchen is fully equipped and enjoyable to use. It's perfectly located for exploring Sidmouth and the surrounding countryside.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the review - Bulverton House

“This is a really lovely holiday apartment in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2014

We were met by our friendly host. The apartment was lovely, well equiped and warm. There is lots to see and do. We particularly enjoyed the quarry caves at Beer and lunch at Otterton Mill half way around one of our walks. There was nothing not to like, even the weather was kind.

Owner's reply: The Quarry Caves are very interesting, thank you Jackie - Bulverton House

“A comfortable and stylish, modern conversion”

Reviewed 23 May 2014

We have just completed a weeks' stay in the Delderfield suite and were very pleased with the very high standard of accommodation and the town of Sidmouth, a regency town with some lovely independent shops and cafés. Geoffrey has thought of everything and there is plenty of instant hot water and a lovely sheltered courtyard garden which gets the sun all day long.

Owner's reply: Thank you for this review, we appreciate your comments - Bulverton House

“Excellent Luxury Accommodation”

Reviewed 30 Apr 2014

An immaculately presented property fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your visit to the Sidmouth area. We particularly enjoyed the thoughtful extras that included fresh flowers, chocolates, cookies and fresh milk in the fridge. Thank you Geoffrey.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your comments - Bulverton House
