Description from owner


The apartment was built 12 years ago and is set in beautifully tended grounds. It is in very good decorative and structural condition. It is on the first floor (one short flight of steps) and has 3 balconies, the front one overlooking the pools, the small kitchen one on the side overlooks the pools and the complex and the back one overlooks farmland. This one is a great place to sit in the early morning time as it is so quiet and peaceful.

There is air con in all the rooms and it is a very comfortable place to stay. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. The apartment will be cleaned before and after your stay, (or once during your stay if it is more than a week) and sheets and towels changed once in the week. There are cleaning materials and equipment in the kitchen for your own convenience.

We have recently installed a washing machine and had a new kitchen built in May last year. The kitchen is well equipped and has a gas hob, 'fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster but no oven.

There is a TV but it is not Sky. You will find that in the Bar.

There is free wifi for my guests, which works best at the front of the apartment or in the restaurant.

This lovely apartment is part of a two complex development and is on the smaller complex, across the (very quiet) road from the larger part. There are excellent shared facilities:4 swimming pools, each with a children's separate area and one has water slides. There are landscaped gardens with a children's play area and a bar/ restaurant. In the high season, the hotel may run a children's club which you would be able to use. Much of the complex is run as a hotel and the majority of the guests are Scandinavian but English is the language that is spoken. The staff are very helpful and will much to make your stay an enjoyable one. Most of them speak very good English.

The complex is a ten minute walk to the beautiful, spacious beach,(Irem has it's own beach club) and there is a bus which will take you there. A 15 minute walk along the beach, will take you to the town of Side is a historical delight with many ruins and mosaics, an amphitheatre and a museum in the old Roman baths. There are many day tours to nearby places of interest and boat trips to spot dolphins and turtles. You can do 2-3 day tours to Pamukale or Cappadocia and be awed by the variety of landscapes Turkey has to offer.

The apartment will suit families or groups of friends but remember there is only one shower and toilet, so 4 is the most comfortable number to stay, rather than using the 2 sofabeds as well. There are shops, bars and restaurants nearby if you wish to explore the area.

Getting around

There are many organised day trips or even 2 day trips to such places as Antalya and Alanya. There are boat trips to see dolphins and turtles and bus trips to see historical sites. if you wish to get around by yourselves, use the dolmas,(minibusses which have their own routes, but will stop anywhere on that route so you can get on or off). They are a very cheap and interesting way to get around. The yellow taxis in Side are a bit more expensive, but still a reasonable way to travel locally.

The hotel reception will deal with any problems or queries that you might have. They will sort keys and air con controls for you (on production of proof of ID) and generally look after your needs.

“Fabulous relaxing stay”

What more could you want? Friendly small complex, close to beach and shops/restaurants. Easy walk to beach and town. Lovely pool area and on the quieter side of Side for a more relaxing stay. Bus stops outside to get to Side or other towns and sites. Well equipped comfortable apartment . I cant wait to go back!

We stayed at hazels apartment at the end of june,the weather was perfect and a pool which we more or less had to ourselves outside the apartment,everything you could need was there,if not a five minute stroll took you to the local shops and restraunts which were amazingly cheap,all they need is more tourists,I hope turkey can sort out its troubles because the locals deserve better.They are friendly and most helpful and myself and my family look forward to many more wonderful holidays like this one.Thank you Hazel and all at the Irem Gardens.

We had a great stay, really enjoyed the apartment. It was nice and spacious and well kitted out esp in the kitchen where we occasionally prepared meals. The pool was lovely and we also liked the free shuttle bus to the beach. The staff were all very friendly too.

We enjoyed our stay at Irem Gardens. The owner Hazel was very helpful and accommodating. There is a well equipped kitchen so we were able to cook on the odd evening. We used the free shuttle bus to the beach which was handy. Staff on the complex were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money.
