There are numerous events and festivals held in Sibiu throughout the year including the Astra Film Festival in October, Cibinfest (the beer festival) in September, the medieval festival in August, the Sibiu rally in August and the Christmas market in December.

Sibiu

The village has 2 shops selling groceries and other essentials. There are also 2 restaurants. Medieval Sibiu is only a 20 minutes' drive away and there you will find dozens of restaurants and bars plus museums and churches.. Nearby Rasinari has a market on Saturday mornings selling everything from meat, cheese, vegetables, livestock to shoes and clothing. The ski resort of Paltinis is also nearby as is the Astra Museum and of course the Cindrel mountains, which can be accessed from the village.. The Transfagaras Highway is less than an hour's drive and the lesser known but equally impressive Transalpina highway starts in nearby Rasinari.
