This beautiful country residence, Beggars Barn, has been restored and extended to offer luxury living in stunning countryside for weekend breaks and holiday rentals. It is located just outside a little village called Shutford near Banbury in a beautiful part of Oxfordshire as yet undiscovered by many. There is a local pub within walking distance and stunning country walks and lovely places to visit nearby. The property comprises of:

Huge outdoor heated swimming pool (open early April to end September)

Hot Tub

Annex which is a games room with table tennis, pool table, cinema and a bar and this can be used as Bedroom 11 if required and converts into a party room!

10 bedrooms which includes 2 suites, 3 ensuite, 6 bathrooms and 3 cloakrooms across the Main House and Summer House

Huge 'live-in' Smallbone 'Walnut and Silver' kitchen area and plenty of living space

Large outdoor trampoline to entertain the kids …or adults!

Arctic cabin (Hobbit House) with central BBQ, seating 16

Cinema/games room with bar and additional bathroom with shower (so can be bedroom 11 on request)

And a small Gym too!

Dining table for 20-22 in the kitchen and 16 in the Dining Room.

Sound system throughout the main areas of the house.

Beggars Barn is fully equipped with luxury furniture and finishes and has been prepared for your stay with Egyptian cotton bedlinen, fluffy towels, hairdryers in every room and luxury bathroom toiletries to make your stay memorable. To ensure you dine in style the kitchen is fully equipped with Villeroy & Boch crockery, cutlery and glassware.

The more formal living areas include an impressive drawing room and dining room and another cloakroom. Upstairs in the main house there are 2 master bedroom suites, 1 double en-suite and 1 double bedroom and 1 twin (or super king) and family bathroom. Downstairs is another kingsize bedroom.

The Summer House is furnished in a contemporary and stylish manner. The living area includes seating, dining, and open plan kitchen. There is one double bedroom , and one twin bedded room. Both share a family bathroom consisting of a power shower, WC and sink.

The Annex comprises of a huge games room, with cinema area, bar, table tennis, pool table. It also has 2 ensuite bedrooms with twin or king size beds.

Outside there is an 18m heated outdoor swimming pool, gym, large trampoline, outside BBQ area and outside seating. The country surroundings provide boundless rolling hills to explore.

This property was lovingly restored in recent years. It is set in 3.5 acres and is located just 0.5 miles from the local village of Shutford. Nestling in a valley, the house is surrounded by beautiful countryside, great walks and better still, within walking distance of the local pub, the George & Dragon and others just a little further away. The owners have a list of local caterers should you wish to dine in in style. There are also have local beauticians who will visit plus chauffering services, caterers and even a photographer if required. There is lots to see and do nearby and the owners can provide you with a list of local activities should you be wanting to plan a special activity for the weekend. All major grocery stores deliver as do Majestic wines in Banbury.

Kitchen and Dining: The kitchen is fully equipped with two ovens, a large standing fridge and freezer, double sink, butler sink on island, microwave, plate warmer, gas hob with ceramic middle plate, and a dishwasher. Marble flooring is laid throughout. The kitchen table seats up to 22. The kitchen leads through to the snug which has a flat screen TV, large coffee table and seating area.

Bedrooms: The main house bedrooms consist of a contemporary master bedroom with super king bed and open plan bathroom, a more traditional super king sized bedroom suite, 1 King double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms (one downstairs) plus another king size bedroom which has an en-suite). Additional beds can be provided for guests so that 26 guests can be accommodated. The Annex/Games room can also be used as a 9th bedroom if required.

The Drawing room in the main house is beautifully furnished with 2 large sofas, armchairs, window seats, coffee table, drinks cabinet, flat screen TV/DVD player, sound system throughout and a large fireplace. Another sofa can be added from the music area in the dining room, where there is a top quality Yamaha piano.

The Cinema/Games/Party room comprises of a 60" TV and video system with cinema seating area, Bose music station, pool table, table tennis, bathroom and even a bar!

The owners welcome family gatherings, friends reunions, hen parties, corporate team building and board meetings, wedding anniversary and birthday celebrations, and even the odd stag party.
