There is a private courtyard with rattan all-weather furniture to seat up to ten people, and a decked area leading to a seven-seater hydrotherapy hot tub.

There are two reception rooms on the ground floor - a dining room with an extendable oak table that seats up to ten people, and a lounge with leather sofas, a wood burning stove, a Sony 42" Flat Screen TV with surround sound, and Sky+ HD with "On Demand" feature. Wifi is also provided for your convenience.

Due to the size of the accommodation and its cleaning requirements, one and two-night stays are charged as three nights. The hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled between every booking.

Location description from owner

The England region

Rufford Park Lodge is in the heart of Sherwood Forest, in Rufford Deer Park where it was originally built as a hunting lodge for the head gamekeeper for Rufford Abbey. Wild deer still roam the farmland that surrounds the lodge, along with pheasant, hare and many other animals in their natural habitat.

The lodge serves either as a retreat for relaxation and quality time with friends and family, or as a base for the many activities to be found in the local area, ideal for walking, hiking, cycling and extreme activities. Sightseeing includes Rufford Abbey and grounds, The Mill at Rufford Abbey with its lake and famous watersplash, Sherwood Pines, Sherwood Forest Craft Centre and Visitor Centre, Clumber Park, Thoresby Hall, Creswell Craggs, The Mill at Ollerton, and many many more.

Activities include Center Parcs (when day passes are available), Go Ape, Adrenalin Jungle, White Post Farm, Wheelgate Theme Park, Rufford Golf and Country Club, and many hiking and cycle routes to explore.

Sherwood Forest

Within a short distance there are many pubs, restaurants, bistros and tea rooms. For general provisions there is a Tesco and Asda in New Ollerton, or for traditional wares a visit to Edwinstowe is a must where you will find family run grocers and butchers such as Goff's, where you will find specialist sausages, pre-prepared meat dishes, home made pies and quiches, and quality bar-be-que fayre.

For eating out, try The Maypole at Wellow, The Dog and Duck in Kings Clipstone, Launays Restaurant and Forest Lodge in Edwinstowe, or Rose Cottage opposite the entrance to Rufford Abbey.
