“Lovely Rural Stay”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2016

Lovely rural location for a holiday stay. The apartment is very well kitted out and is within driving distance for Bideford (20 mins) or Ilfracome and Woolacombe. The landlord lives on site and was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants to eat and places to visit. We have a young family and my daughter loved seeing horse riders and tractors in the village aswell as all of the cows and sheep in the fields (we live in London hence why this was a novelty). The village also boasts some history back to the 16th century of the Devils stone, which I had never heard about before but read about in the informative folder left in the apartment. In the surrounding villages, there are ad hoc little stalls outside of the cottages/houses selling seasonal fruits. The village shop also sells take away currys from a local restaurant, save you having to travel! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Owner's reply: We are so pleased that your party had a nice time. Thank you for your kind words and comprehensive review.
