Description

Nestled deep in the majestic western Sierras, yet very easy to reach on main roads, our 4,000 square foot retreat with its spacious kitchen, 5 baths, 8-12 person bunkroom, 3 big master bedrooms (one has a two-person jacuzzi bath), workshop room doubles as large bedroom with two queen beds and futon couch/bed, "man cave" with large screen tv, double living rooms, and well equipped meeting room (or extra large bedroom) has an atmosphere of quiet and comfort. Fully connected with high speed wi-fi Internet. And it's an easy 45-minute drive from Fresno on easy roads that are snow plowed. The town of Shaver Lake, with great restaurants, gift shops, and laid back friendly proprietors is just 5 minutes up the road. Within a pleasant 45-minute drive are 3 more large lakes, a wonderful redwood forest, 3 snow parks, a ski resort, and so much more.

Getting around

There are hiking trails everywhere, as well as biking, ATV, Jeep roads and cross-country ski areas, down hill skiing, snowboarding and snow play areas. You can boat at the lake, horseback ride on the trails (nearby horse stable in the summer months), swim in the lakes, fish in the lakes and streams. You will need a car, bike, Jeep or other means of getting around.

Interaction with guest

As little or as much as desired by the guests. We have a local property management expert able to help with any problems that come up during the stay. We use exterior cameras to check comings and goings at the cabin.

House rules

No loud parties, noise ordinance in effect after 10PM and before 8AM. Smoking permitted outdoors on the various porches and in the garage. No fenced yard so pets must be taken out for bathroom breaks. Coyotes, bears, deer, snakes, raccoons and other visitors make it especially important to keep an eye your small pets.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
