Shanklin can be found in the pleasant Sandown Bay area on the east side of the island. Shanklin boosts of a traditional seafront, where you'll find everything you could ask for in a seaside holiday. Beach huts and deckchairs can be hired along the golden beaches, ice-cream parlours and cafes are never more than five minutes' walk along

Away from the beachfront, Shanklin's Old Village area is like a time-warp. Visit the old-fashioned shops, stop for a pot of tea in one of the Old English Tea Rooms and wander the cobbled lanes at your leisure. A trip to the impressive natural gorge and waterfall known as Shanklin Chine is a few minutes walk from the apartment is also highly recommended. This is a beautiful wooded area with some excellent views of the island and some rare plants and wildlife to discover.

The main part of the town centre has everything you'd need for a week away, with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes - all while being just a ten minute drive from the sandy beaches. The town is less than a 10 minute walk from the property

A very clean and comfortable apartment and beautiful gardens. Pam is a very nice and welcoming lady and nothing is too much trouble if you need anything. Will definitely be booking to go back next year at some point.

Thank you for your lovely comments - will be very happy to see you both again. Pam
