the property was clean and well maintained not maney shops open due to time of year. good car parking.and lovely clean beaches would defintly use the property again.local one stop 5 mins up the road very useful.

Very nice, clean, comfy house. Lovely private gardens with sea views. Very comfortable bed. Completely private and separate from Annexe. Will definitely return. One drawback - on a nice day unless you get parked early at Sennen you've got no chance.

“Great family holiday”

We all had a great two weeks holiday. The house was as described,everything clean and tidy upon arrival. We thought the house was ideally situated for the beach and surrounding areas. Excellent views. Family really enjoyed football table. We would recommend anyone to stay here. We enjoed it so much we didn't want to come home.

“Great location and great value for the price”

There is a bus stop two houses down the road so you do not have get off the bus in Sennen Cove and walk up the steep hill like we did the first time we came. (if you are traveling Cornwall by bus) The property had some moisture issues inside when we first arrived, but that may be common in all of England... (we are from midwest USA)

“Nice enough”

On the whole we had an enjoyable stay at Grassmead. The views from most of the rooms were amazing and having the garden was a real bonus when you have a toddler. The property was very clean on our arrival and the kitchen extremely well equipped with the lovely touch of plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. It is a nice large property with a real bonus of the playroom/conservatory. The negatives: - In the advertisement for the property it states a king size bed and it wasn't. Also mentioned was a washer/dryer and it was just a washer. The toilet door upstairs doesn't shut. The lock on the french doors is broken. The hoover didn't work very well even after emptying it. The housekeeper came into the property without our prior knowledge while we were out to change the bedding and towels. While we were grateful to have the bedding changed it would have been nice to have been warned. I was not sent the final details of our stay a week before and had to chase up the owners a few days before leaving for the arrangements. These were all fairly minor issues and didn't affect our overall stay at Grassmead and I would still recommend this property to others.

“Comfortable for Two”

Grasscroft was well prepared for our arrival, and was clean and welcoming. The owners were friendly and helpful during the booking process, and we appreciated the tea and biscuits supplied, which was a nice touch. This property is ideal for two, with a comfortable sitting room, fairly well equipped kitchen, and good double bedroom with sufficient storage - not always the case in a holiday let. It was good to have a garden, even if it did mean a climb up steep steps, and the small conservatory was warm on sunny days. We liked the fact that we could walk down to the Cove from the property, and on to the cliff path, and also use the local buses to explore the area. We enjoyed two evening meals at the local inn, The Old Success, and found the food very good, and reasonably priced. We appreciated off - street parking, the location of the cottage and a peaceful, relaxing place to stay. Some extra blankets for the bed would have been useful - the nights were cold, so a thin duvet was not adequate, and some better quality pillows would be a great improvement! We also struggled to hang up bath towels to dry. An extra rail in the bathroom , and an airer to use in the conservatory would have helped a great deal. But having said all that, we would be happy to go to Grasscroft again, and hope to do so in the not too distant future!

Owner's reply: We are experiencing inclement weather conditions just now which can make the nights cool, the summer quilts are in use at this time of year, and an option of a blanket being made available to guests is a good idea, we will also take a look at the pillows. We intend at the end of season to replace the the floors tiles, and install an electrical towel rail in the bathroom. Cottage was very nice with all mod cons, flat screen telly, wi-fi etc. Lovely enclosed garden to the rear, ideal for our 9 month old to play in, and for bbq's which was provided.. location great, 10 mins walk downhill to beach, return walk a good workout (especially with a buggy) Lovely sandy beach, where you can learn to surf or just chill. Lots of local attractions, Lands End 30 mins walk away round the gorgeous south west coastal path. Wonderful Minack outdoor theatre 10 mins drive away. The owners a pleasure to deal with and will definately return!

After a lengthy drive down on a Saturday morning, we arrived at Grassmead and were impressed straight away. Keys were exactly where they said they were, secure but easy to access with the instructions. We had to enter the property around the back but this was no problem and we could see from the decking, BBQ area and gardens that if the insides were as good as outside we would be on to a winner! In through the conservatory and into a modern, well equipped house with a large double bedroom over looking the sea that comes in to Sennen Cove, and the two twin rooms with garden and sea views. Basic tea and coffee supplies in the kitchen for arrival and even a packet of choccy biccies which always helps. Cooker is a little basic, but it works and if you don't fancy cooking there are several local restaurants and pubs that serve food at reasonable prices. There's a Chippy and a Costcutter within a 10 min walk (or a 2 min drive) and some little cafes at the bottom of Sennen. Large decking area outside set in lovely gardens and a BBQ area for if you have the weather, but invest in a disposable BBQ, it's the easiest way to do it. Location is out of the way enough to be quiet, but Lands End is only a half hour walk along the coastal path away, but St. Just, Pendeen, St. Ives are not a million miles away by car. There is a Tesco and a Morrisons in Penzance, but it's at least a 35 minute drive away so stock up if you think you might need to. Plenty to do within and hours drive of Grassmead, try Paradise Park (a zoo type place) or a day out in St Ives or St Michaels mount in the bay at Penzance. Lovely place, made even better by nice owners, thanks Jan and Geoff.

“fantastic walking country”

The booking process was easy and the information about what to do on arrival was all really well thought out. The packet of choc chip cookies and the tea tray ready for when we got there was a brilliant idea. The cottage was beautifully clean and well thought out with big windows throwing lots of light into the kitchen, lounge and master bedroom. There was even a dishwasher. There were two good pubs, both serving food and in walking distance. Food in the Old Success was excellent. We didn't try the other pub's grub but it looked good. Views were stunning. Dog very happy. Coastal walks breath taking. Weather not too cold and actually quite a lot of sunshine. Because it was February we had Land's End and all the coastal paths almost to ourselves.
