Location description from owner

The England region

Some of the best attractions in West Sussex are situated within a fifteen minute drive of this village. There is the sandy beach at West Wittering, just down the road, which is regarded as one of the best beaches in southern England. There is sailing at Chichester Harbour, golf (two courses), and horse racing and motor sport at Goodwood, which is only a few miles from the property.

The beautiful cathedral city of Chichester lies less than three miles to the west, and the South Downs lie just to the north.

Selsey

The seaside town of Selsey has great amenities with a selection of good shops, including a 'Budgens' supermarket within walking distance of the cottage. There are a number of tearooms, cafes and restaurants, offering everything from traditional afternoon teas or fish and chips, to Spanish tapas or Asian spices! Selsey is perhaps most famous for its lifeboat station and beach, making it a very popular destination in the summer months. There is a large leisure site to the west of the village, with a swimming pool and gym available for day visitors at a small charge.

To the north of Selsey is the historic cathedral city of Chichester, which offers a further great selection of shops and amenities. The cathedral in the centre of the city dates back over 900 years, with other attractions including the world famous Chichester Festival Theatre, and the Goodwood Estate, known for its horse racing and motor sport events.

Good road and rail links make access to the cities of Portsmouth and Brighton easy and from Chichester you can get the train to central London in under 2 hours.

“Lovely landlady, cottage small but adequate for our requirements.”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2015

Small - but we knew that. Assumed there would be a cooker but there was only a microwave cooker as correctly described by the owner. Well placed for the south coast and hiking in the south downs as well as Chichester and Arundel. Shops nearby. Loved the price and that we could arrive on a Friday. Lovely non-intrusive landlady.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review. If you visit the area again please do get in touch. Best Wishes from the Henry Adams Holiday Lets Team.
