The Scottish Borders region

Shhhh - the Borders are a really well kept secret! Set between Edinburgh to the north and Cumbria and Northumberland to the south they are perfect for touring, and all sorts of outdoors activities. Golf, there are numerous courses including the Roxburgh, cycling for the adventurous, road and mountain biking, walking, horse riding, and various other outdoor sports are all on offer. However if you want to relax this area is perfect and Ettrickbridge is in the centre of all this.

Edinburgh is not too far for a visit with the castle and loads of shopping, and if you can make it a little further, Fife and St Andrews, with its many established golf courses are just a little further.

Horse riding is plentiful here, loads of lovely countryside to discover on horseback - brilliant!

Activities can be arranged through us in advance - just let us know what you would like to do - fishing on the Tweed, clay pigeon or pheasant shooting or a lesson at the Ian Stark Equestrian Centre - it's all possible.

Come and enjoy yourselves!

“Peaceful area”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2014

We stayed in this cottage for 1 week in late July . The cottage is clean and well provided for in terms of bathrooms and cooking facilities. Etterickbridge itself is very small and peaceful with a very decent pub close to the cottage. Be aware that there is no phone signal although the pub does have free wi-fi .
