There are masses of things to do to suit everyone. Seillans is about 40 minutes drive from the sea. There are lots of pretty surrounding towns and villages with Provençal markets, several good restaurants in the village, lakes to swim in, rivers to explore, and fabulous walking by the sea, locally or in the hills and in the mountains of the Southern Alps where skiing is within easy reach too. There is culture in and around Nice, Thoronet Abbey while the town of Aix-en-Provence and its summer opera festival about 90 mins away. There is plenty of culture, food, wine and relaxation on your doorstep too.

Seillans

Seillans has been designated one of the most beautiful villages in France - les Plus Beaux Villages de FranceSeillans is a very ancient village nestled back against the base of a forested mountain, looking out to the south across the lower valleys. The village has a beautiful square, the "Place de Thuron" and is home to two very popular, typically French restaurants. With accompanying fountain and lavoir it is completely shaded from morning to night by its gigantic plane tree, whose leafy branches stretch out to cover the entire square and even across the road. The village also features to additional restaurants, a post office, a butcher, pharmacy , a small alimentation and a Huit-a-huit supermarket. Other shops, restaurants and larger super markets are to be found in Fayence and on the routes from the airport. There are inviting lakes if you do not want to head for the Mediterranean.

“Wow”

Had the best holiday, villa palmier is stunning, it has everything you could want, the garden and swimming pool is so relaxing, the location is perfect for walking into the village for dinner it is so picturesque and the restaurants are very good, there is also a bakers and supermarket for getting your supplies. Monaco, Cannes and St tropez are all in driving distance if you want to shop or see the boats or just watch the world go by and people watch. We had the best time and booked for next year can't wait to go back. 10/10

Thank you and look forward to welcoming you back next year!

Glad you enjoyed your stay at Villa Palmier and look forward to seeing you again next summer.

“A bit of heaven in Seillans!”

Booking the villa was very easy and the communications from Stan and Wendy were clear and very speedy. We had driven down to the South of France and the directions to find the villa were very comprehensive, especially as the satnav wanted to send us the wrong way! The villa is Stan and Wendy's home and is beautifully presented. Whilst I didn't cook any meals whilst staying, I could see the kitchen was very well equipped. The bed linen was lovely and the towels very soft. The pool area and pool were great and south facing so sunny all day long. The garden too, was very pretty. Also, it was incredibly peaceful with fabulous views for miles from the lounge windows. The villa is a very short walk from the centre of Seillans where there are three restaurants. The food in all three was excellent. We just lazed by the pool every day and ate out each evening in Seillans. We didn't watch the TV (which is unusual for my husband), but did utilise the wifi. My husband and I have rented villas in France for the last ten years and can honestly say this was certainly the best one we have stayed in. Wendy and Stan were great and just zipped in to water the plants and clean the pool. All in all the villa and location were, for us, our absolute ideal holiday.

Really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Villa Palmier

“The whole family had a great holiday in this lovely villa”

We are a family of six including 2 teenagers and two younger children and this villa had something for everyone. Wifi, UK TV, a lovely garden with an area for a kick about and a beautiful pool for the kids; tasteful and clean accommodation with plenty kitchen amenities for Mum and a stroll away to patisserie, good restaurants and quaint medieval village for Dad. Owners were one of the nicest we have ever dealt with. Only negative is I'm not sure I can keep getting the kids to share beds on holiday in order for us to return. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful place for a holiday!”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2014

This is a gorgeous villa and perfect for what we wanted. I travelled with my parents, brother and boyfriend for a week's holiday. The villa is large, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The pool and garden areas are fab and the pool is large enough for swimming. The bedrooms are good sizes (all doubles) and I loved the master bedroom hidden behind the bookcase! The village is beautiful. There's a small boulangerie open 8-12 selling bread, pastries, cakes etc plus a small selection of cheese etc. There's a bar and two very good restaurants, worth booking as they get busy. There's also a lovely pizza takeaway that is good if you're arriving late and a couple of cafes and small boutiques. We had plenty of variety in eating - visits to the two restaurants, a pizza, a bbq, a couple of meals cooked at the villa, and we took a trip to Fayence which I highly recommend for some more variety of shops and restaurants. Be aware that erractic French opening hours are very much in effect here and the huit-a-huit supermarket is in fact open 8.30 - 7.30 and closes for 3 hours (!) over lunchtime - 12.30-3.30. So keep this in mind if you want to buy groceries for lunch. However there is a very new, modern and well priced supermarket near Fayence called SuperU which is good to stock up. A car is needed to travel from the airport and also to get around. I highly recommend a visit to the lake (Lac du St Cassien) and rent a pedalo, it was great fun and the lake is lovely. There's also a lovely craft workshop in the village that sells pottery which is great for gifts. Couple of bits of feedback - some games provided would be nice for nights in and a welcome pack of food/drinks would be very well received especially when arriving late in the evening. Overall I highly recommend the villa and think it's ideal for family holidays.

Will look into getting some games but never been requested before. I do offer to get some grocieries if required you obviously missed that in the write up. Thanks you for your comments.

“Excellent location in the most wonderful area of France .... Don't tell everyone!”

We booked Villa Palmier as we wanted a house with a pool in or near Seillians. There is nothing not to like about the property or location ....the garden is wonderful and the views stunning. We were able to walk to the village and only a short drive to the larger village of Fayence. We were met by the owners .. Stan & Wendy who were lovely. They had prepared the house for all our needs. We ate at Chez Hugo in Sellians and would thoroughly recommend the restaurant as the food was excellent The lake ' lac de st Cassien' is worth a visit although very busy in August. Definitely a place we would want to return to again.

Really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Villa Palmier, maybe see you again ?

“Beautiful house close to the village”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2013

The house is in great condition and the children loved the pool. 5 minute walk to to the bakery and also few really good restaurant within walking distance. Several villages nearby that are well worth a visit. The owners are friendly and everything with respect to the contract, practical matters during our stay etc was handled to our complete satisfaction. We would definitely recommend this rental and would love to return some day in the future.

Really glad you enjoyed your stay at Villa Palmier!

“You have to stay here”

Family with 18 and 16 year old teenagers . This villa is located in the foot hills NW of Cannes and within easy reach of the French Riviera with an easy 15-20 mins drive down the valley to the A8 Motorway. Once on the Motorway you can drive to Monaco 1hr 20mins and drive around the town via the Grand Prix circuit followed by the coastal road to Nice and Cannes. Alternatively you could take the beautiful route down the valley to St Raphael. The villa has fantastic views south down the valley towards Cannes. The owners of the villa have considered each and every bodies requirements, ranging from a great size swimming pool, WIFI, UK TV and each room is beautifully decorated, the list is endless. Shopping is a simple a 10 min drive will see you passing several well stocked stocked supermarkets. The best kept secret is the local gliding airfield where you can book a 30 min flight in a glider where and really appreciate the beauty of the area. We have rented several villas in the past and this villa rated tops for, location, facilities, and most of all the chilled out factor, we were met with a fantastic greeting and the owners were always available to answer any questions or assistance that we had. You have to try this place, we will be going back again.

Really pleased you enjoyed staying at our Villa and maybe see you again!
