The Tuscany region

Casa Olivastra is on the edge of Val d'Orcia & the foothills of Monte Amiata .Mention Tuscany, this is the region that readily comes to mind, the rolling Sienese hills, studded with medieval hilltowns & trimmed with avenues of cypress trees. The classic views of Tuscany, its vineyards & olive groves can all be found here with sunflower filled fields scattered with poppies. (See the pictures)

Monasteries are a major attraction of the area Sant, Antimo & Monte Oliveto Maggiore are two of Tuscany's most beautiful .The thermal springs & spas with warm open air bathing pools are equally spectacular. A drive through the sunflower fields of the Marrema to the Tuscan coast (1.5 hrs) means countryside & coast can both be enjoyed.

Seggiano

Seggiano, a medieval hilltop village, well known for its olive oil, honey and cheese. 5 minutes drive away with restaurants, small supermarket (which meets all daily needs), superb homemade pasta and bread, wine bar and bank. More facilities at Castel del Piano - 6km. Also restaurant at Villa Gaia which also benefits from a thermal pool and alternative therapies(.1 km)
