Description

Finca Duende is a 3 - 4 bedroom new country house of approximate 200m² located in magnificent countryside at the bottom of the 2065 m high Mount Maroma. The house is near Sedella, a typical white village in the Axarquia region in Andalusia. It is an hour´s drive from Malaga airport and to the nearest beach it takes only 30 minutes.

Surrounded by a Nature Park with uncountable possibilities of amazing walks, the Finca sits on a plot of 11.000m², full of mature almond and olive trees.
The Finca is a large, bright and airy house with open plan living room leading out to a covered and several open terraces. It is equipped with high speed internet, library and other usesful things as well as a wood burning fire for the cooler months. The open plan kitchen is fully fitted with all cooking facilities, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher etc.
The house sleeps up to 8 people and comprises of a master bedroom with a king size waterbed and in an additional room a twin sleeping couch. These

All suites have direct access to the terraces and / or the pool area.
The terraces are fully furnished with outside dining tables and chairs, as well as sun lounger surrounding the 8 x 4 m swimming pool.
A perfect location to discover the nature park, some of the nearby beaches, the towns of Malaga, Granada and Antequera, numerous picturesque white villages and many other destinations and relax afterwards in the quietness of nature.

The Andalucia region

Axarquia is an Arab name meaning "The East". This area, to the east of Malaga City, is much less developed than the west. The Axarquia still has all the charm of yesteryear thanks to unspoilt havens and attractive coves and beaches where bathers can flee the crowds to be found to the west of Malaga. Whilst becoming better known, the area still offers an ideal location for those in search of greater tranquillity. The Axarquia is one of the few areas to still feature beaches that have managed to escape the all-consuming urban development that has invaded other parts of the Mediterranean coast. The hill and mountain scenery are ablaze with flowers and blossom from January onwards. Shepherds lead their goats and sheep through hills and valleys, eagles soar the skies and pretty, unspoiled white villages abound
For those who are prepared to travel inland a little , the area of Axarquia is full of small white villages, each with their own character and history. Bordered by the Medditerranean to the south and mountains sheltering the area to the north, the Axarquia region enjoys the best climate in Europe. From unspoilt coastal villages and whitewashed mountain retreats to the resort towns of Torrox, Nerja and Torre del Mar. Both the city of Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains are less than 2 hours drive away.

Sedella

Finca Duende is located at the edge of the Nature Park "Sierra Tejeda" at the foot of the Maroma, the highest mountain with 2065 m.
The Finca is surrounded by beautiful nature - perfect for hiking and mountain biking. The village of Sedella is 6 km away, a picturesque while village with some bars and small restaurants. There is also a small supermarket in Sedella.
Further restaurants are in some of the other surrounding white villages around or in the city of Velez Malaga, which is about 17 kms away. Velez Malaga has around 80.000 inhibitants and offers a nice historic center and good shopping facilities.

Sedella lies 60 km from Malaga and 28 km from the coast at Torre del Mar. It is located within the area of Axarquia, on the scenic Mudejar Route, and has a population of appr. 600. Sedella stands at 689 metres altitude in the foothills of the Sierra Tejada and Sierra Almijara mountain ranges. It has winding narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses many of which have Arab style courtyards and gardens.

As well as Sedella, the villages of Canillas de Aceituno & Arenas are between 10 and 20 minutes drive from the Finca. Both have shops, bars and restaurants. There is a large shopping centre, as well as a variety of retails shops & other supermarkets at Velez Malaga, about 30 minutes drive.
