Description from owner

Description

Juniper Cottage is a former smokehouse in the heart of the old part of Seahouses, ideally located for the colourful harbour, beach walks and the bustling shops, pubs and restaurants of this old fishing village.

Take a trip to Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island or board a boat trip bound for the Farne Islands, one of the UK’s top wildlife experiences. Swallow Fish, a key Seahouses attraction and a Rick Stein Food Hero, is situated just across the road and great for fresh and smoked fish.

Guests also benefit from access to nearby Ocean Leisure Club (nominal entrance fee payable).

The cottage has car parking in the attached garage (green door as seen on photos) and there is also additional car parking space opposite.

Our cottage has been awarded 4 stars by VisitEngland.

“Thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful family break at this comfortable and traditional cottage.”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2016

Juniper Cottage is a traditional styled homely cottage with lots of additional extras that made our stay extra special. This included a wide range of books, dvd's toys and games for the children, picnic essentials in fact everything you might need when away from home. The cottage was very comfortably furnished and exceptionally clean and well cared for and in an ideal location close to the harbour and all amenities. We enjoyed outings to Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and spent a lot of time soaking up the atmosphere in Seahouses which we will definitely return to. Enjoyed traditional fish and chips from Lewis's and a lovely meal at the Bamburgh Castle Inn which has fabulous views from the garden and would highly recommend a visit here. We stayed here as a family of six ; my husband and our two daughters and son-in-laws and our one year old grandson and the cottage was perfectly suited to our needs and requests for a highchair and travel cot were met. The owner was extremely helpful from initially booking the cottage to keeping in contact during our stay and I would recommend Juniper Cottage to anyone wanting a traditional cottage break in the heart of old Seahouses !

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed Juniper Cottage and Seahouses ... and Lewis's definitely has the best fish and chips in town! Look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
