The kitchen/dining area is bright and modern with everything you might need for your holiday and a good size space where you and your family and friends can enjoy time sitting around the dining table.

The patio doors from the dining room lead out to the front yard area, where you can sit out and relax with a glass of wine as the sun goes down.

The family bathroom has an electric shower over the bath with a wash basin and WC.

Nearby Seahouses harbour is busy with fishing boats and boat trips across to the Farne islands where you can see plenty of local bird and wild life including the lovely, doe eyed seals all year round and of course, the famous Puffins from April to beginning of August! Bamburgh Castle is always within view and only a very short drive along the coast road as is Beadnell, with its lovely bay and water sports. Holy Island, Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle, Low Newton-on - sea and The renowned Ship Inn are all with easy reach. There is so much to see and so locally, you will need more time!

Please note that this cottage welcomes ONE well-behaved dog. An additional charge applies. Please enquire for details.

Short breaks may be available, please enquire for more details.

Please note: The cottage is adjacent to the Schooner Inn, a friendly, local pub which welcomes holiday makers and their dogs and offers live music at weekends.

Location description from manager

The England region

The Northumberland coastline is a land far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a county brimming with things to do and places to see amongst the most spectacular of landscapes.

Explore mile upon mile of the wonderful uncrowded golden sandy beaches and stunning countryside set amongst two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the rugged Northumberland National Park. Discover more castles than anywhere else in England, the birthplace of English Christianity on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the historic World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Wall, stunning Alnwick Garden picturesque towns and villages and much more.

There are plenty of golf courses and lots of activities and some great walking.

Seahouses

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.

The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.

The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart's School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.

The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches and is ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
