Description

Peace and relaxation await in this brand new luxury holiday lodge in beautiful Seaford. Nestled at the foot of the downs, and just 10 minutes from the beach, 'The Lodge' sleeps up to 7 guests in 2 bedrooms, in light, bright accommodation. The Lodge is situated on the outskirts of the South Downs National Park, just across the road from the South Downs Way and 2 minutes from Seaford Gold Club. The iconic 'Coastguard Cottages', Cuckmere Haven and Seven Sisters are a few minutes drive away, or 20 minute walk. Most importantly, the nearest pub is just a 10 minute stroll away.

The generously proportioned living / dining / kitchen area has 2 sets of french doors and sliding doors, so sunlight pours into these rooms . Underfloor heating,solid oak bespoke kitchen, range cooker and american style fridge freezer mean that you can enjoy the comforts of home, away from home, with superfast wifi, bluetooth enabled radio & speaker, Free sat and Amazon Fire TV all included in your price. The Master bedroom has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and french doors which open to the lawned area of garden. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, one of which converts to a double bed if necessary. A further double sofa-bed is available in the living area.

Outside, a spacious south facing enclosed Patio mean you can relax in private, with a BBQ, or just kick back and enjoy a glass of wine on a lounger.

There's no need to bring bedding or towels, which are also provided. And if you need a highchair or travel cot, just ask, we'll be only too happy to help.

“The Lodge; lucky us!”

Great place. Very well equipped, clean & bright. With the gates fully closed, completely dog friendly and they could wander to their hearts content. Wonderful location with the golf course just across the road and close to the seafront too. Cannot recommend highly enough and we'd love to return.

“This IS NOT A LUXURY COTTAGE”

We thought we were booking a LUXURY cottage and were really disappointed. Cheap chairs, not clean( child’s sock behind sofa, Euro coins under wardrobe , dirty main rug ) torn and broken lounger chairs out on patio. No disposal bins in bedrooms or bathrooms, we made our own. Poor kitchen knives ( I use my pen knife to peel vegetables) I bought our own non stick frying pan. Poor driveway, dirty yard and windows. Great showers though and lots of hot water.

Arrived and was really impressed by the size of the cottage. It was a nice touch to have tea/coffee and other essentials when we arrived after a long drive. Cottage was well located for Brighton/Eastbourne and was perfect for a walk to Seaford the beach and some nice pubs to have a pint and something to eat. Would recommend this holiday rental. Thanks to Helen for a perfect stay.

“Home from home - with extra nice touches”

From point of booking, to handing the keys back after our long weekend, the owner was helpful without being intrusive. We arrived tired on a Friday and found that provisions - bread, milk, cereal, butter and jam were there to cover us for our first night and morning. A colouring book and pencil for our children was perfect for whilst we unloaded the car and got ourselves settled. There was a double bedroom with en suite shower and toilet, a family bathrom, a double room with two single beds that had pull outs underneath and a huge kitchen, diner and lounge area. The kitchen was perfectly kitted out - as a middle aged mum - I noted the sage appliances, cleaning kit and the extra bedding. The practical info was in a bulging purple file. It's amazing to find so much to do locally - we'd assumed we'd be in Brighton all the time, but we went the other way - East, and found so much to do. The mattresses and bedding were clean and fresh. If you have a little one, take a bed guard perhaps, or ask the owners if they have one. There's plenty of space if you want to put a travel cot in either of the bedrooms. The bathrooms have plenty of towels and the kitchen had all the kit you would have at home. What I liked, is that it felt homely. It was clean, bright and fresh, with nice furniture, but not so 'posh' that you were worried to sit on anything or use it. It's great for families, groups of friends - I think we could get 8 of us in there using the pull outs and, it's a good space to be in. It's not the Dorchester and doesn't advertise itself as that which I was pleased about - we were happy and more than comfortable in our surroundings! With good weather, it would be even better as the site is totally secure. So you could sit indoors with one of the many patio doors open and have children run around together. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

How do damage deposits work?
