'The Lighthouse' is a modern three storey marine house opposite 3 miles of promenade close to two Golf courses, fantastic cycling & walking either on the seafront or on the South Downs. Easy access to Seaford Nature Reserve and the Seven Sisters National Trust area - amazing Kite Surfing and Kayaking. Relax on the deck where there is dining for 6 Summer or Winter and watch the most beautiful sunsets over the Lighthouse at Newhaven with a bottle of wine - it doesn't get much better than this :)

This house is situated right on the seafront in Seaford, East Sussex. Our lovely modern home is tastefully furnished with a great 'beach shack' feel. One large king size bedroom on the top floor with views out to Sea. A spacious double bedroom (with restricted views on the lower ground floor) and a twin room that can also take a travel cot on the top floor at the rear. There is a separate shower room on the ground floor and a family bathroom on the top floor.

This house is situated right on the seafront in Seaford, East Sussex. Our lovely modern home is tastefully furnished with a great 'beach shack' feel. A spacious double bedroom (with restricted views on the lower ground floor) and a twin room that can also take a travel cot on the top floor at the rear. There is a separate shower room on the ground floor and a family bathroom on the top floor. An additional toilet is located off the open plan living area.

Step straight out from the Lounge to a large wood deck with lovely outdoor furniture & BBQ with dining for 6 - the pebbled garden leads down to the promenade which is accessed across the coastal road.

The property is on three floors with an open plan fully fitted kitchen - dining for six and spacious Lounge all facing the sea towards Newhaven Harbour.

Features - free Wifi - 42" flat screen TV with DVD and a selection of family movies - games and books - Bluetooth Portable Speaker.

The Kitchen has fridge & freezer, gas hob, electric fan oven, microwave, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher (tumble dryer in the garage below)

This house is ideal for families - great for couples and romantic get aways!

Parking space at the rear for one vehicle - public parking available nearby.

HOUSE RULES - The Lighthouse is in a quiet seaside residential area and guests are asked to respect neighbours by keeping noise levels acceptable especially when sitting outside

The house sleeps 6 maximum - it is not acceptable for additional people to stay without prior agreement with the owners

Whilst groups of single people are accepted this is not a party house or garden and the owners reserve the right to terminate a stay should the house be miss used

Day visitors are by prior arrangement only and may be charged an additional fee. Due to previous complaints we are now unable to allow more than the maximum of six to occupy the house or the garden area and we thank you for your understanding

Well behaved non moulting dogs are by prior arrangement only

SURROUNDING AREA

The long pebble garden leads to the Promenade - hop over the wall across the coastal road and straight on to the Promenade & Beach. Once on the Promenade there is a fantastic flat three mile stretch of walking along the edge of the beach - great for watching the Kite Surfers when it's windy or the Sailing Club racing events - not forgetting the Newhaven/Dieppe Ferry which you can take to France. Seaford Head at the foot of the golf course is 5 minutes walk and will take you right up and over the Seven Sisters Country Park. Walk the other way towards the Sailing Club towards Tide mills, Newhaven Harbour and Marina.

The Famous South Downs Way is easily accessible for Horse Riding, Walking and Cycling. Seaford has a main line railway to London and Brighton and the station is 5 minutes walk from the house.Its a fabulous bus ride to Eastbourne past the famous Beachy Head Lighthouse along the cliffs down to the main town and promenade walk with the central Bandstand playing live music most nights. Lewes is 15 mins by train or car being the county town of East Sussex its quaint with cobbled streets, a Castle and its own Brewery.Seaford Town has many good shops & supermarkets together with a great variety of good pubs serving food, other restaurants include Italian, Chinese, Indian, Bistro, Tapas and traditional Gastro pub grub.Please note

NOTE:

This property is on three floors and not considered suitable for those with walking difficulties or challenged by steps.

The access road (Dane Close) to the rear entrance of the house is a narrow private road that serves surrounding properties and can be congested at times. The Lighthouse (no 49) is at the end of this road on the right hand side.

Once are inside the house most windows face to the Sea as you will see from all the photos on this website. There is only space for one car outside the property with other free parking in the area.

This modern mid terrace three storey marine town house is a five minute walk to the main line railway for trains to London - Brighton and Eastbourne with Golf close by and some amazing mountain biking, walking and water sports on your doorstep.

The approach to the house along Dane Close brings you to the rear of the property to the main entrance and the garage with parking space directly outside for one vehicle.

Seaford

The house is situated in a close which is a mixed modern development of town houses and flats located right between the seafront and the town centre.

There is a dedicated parking space outside the garage and other free parking available nearby in side roads or on the seafront itself.

The house sleeps maximum 6 people - we don't allow any more people to sleep at the house
Day guests must have permission of the owner - it is not permitted for the guests renting to invite more guests to join them at the house unless permission is granted by the owners.
We say no animals but we will accept small non moulting varieties of dog to respect our guest with allergies

“very dissapointing,was not at all like i was led to think from imfo”

1 Luxury beach house it was not, 2 it was my wifes birthday and I wanted to book something a bit special,3 Booking was changed at a very late date(due to double booking on sunday this led to my son not being able to attend,4 Photo of rear decking and wall at bottom was very misleading,this wall actualy separated rear of property from a very busy main rd which you had to cross to get to beach so it is not on the beach front as stated,Also because of the wall being low enough for a 4yr old to climb over straight onto main rd it was very dangerous, 5 Rear of property was very overcrowded with crazy parking and blocks of flats on all sides,6 my wife and I are only just recovering from bad coughs caused by very damp lower bedroom which was more like a cell cold with damp up one wall ,you could smell the damp as you came in front door,this property is really only two bedroom as lower one is not suitable,7 In no way is the property a (contemporary beach house) It is also very misleading to call it the Lighthouse.

How disappointing to read your review - we've worked hard to make the house a special place, with lovely decor in in a fantastic sea front position, which our previous 22 reviews have confirmed. We believe our property is well represented and described on Websites and shows a true picture of its position set back from the esplanade by the coastal road. The wall is a necessary Sea Defence which is clearly visible from our photos and the description is transparent. As the long shingle garden runs down towards the wall separating the road we feel this makes a safe and secure area for children to play, whilst being supervised by parents. The Lower Ground Floor bedroom has restricted views as described and visible from the photos and it will feel cooler than the top floor bedrooms, which some guests prefer. There is a dedicated private parking space outside our Garage for one car at the rear of the house as described - this parking space is only for use by our guests and does not cause us a problem. Our guests have described this house as being contemporary and having a real beach house feel, and the views across Seaford Bay to Newhaven Lighthouse and the ever changing skies and sunsets are what they love. The house is not described as being a Lighthouse and the photos clearly show a terrace of five marine style modern properties, with neighbouring gardens. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your time in our house and believe it's possible you thought you had booked a different house to ours.
