Southern Wales region
South Wales is a perfect location for any family holiday, short break or weekend getaway
In South Wales you're never far from a mountain or the sea - so it's no wonder walkers, cyclists, surfers and sailors love to come and visit. There is a real buzz about Cardiff our capital city and the nearby Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Swansea & the Gower, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay all have wonderful clean beaches and some surprising marine life
Why not have a holiday in Pembrokeshire or Ceredigion and look out for the dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, Atlantic grey seals and leatherback turtles. The Brecon Beacons National Park leads to the steep-sided Valleys of South Wales carved by the rivers Rhondda, Taff, Rhymney and Cynon.
The Gower Peninsula is both beautiful and unspoilt, there are many historic features located over an area that measures just sixteen miles by seven miles wide. Notably, Gower was one of the first places designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' under the Act of 1949. This website aims to highlight and prom e main features and attractions of Gower and the surrounding area, whilst also giving guidance to visitors, helping them to maximise their enjoyment of South and West Wales .

"A compact family base for exploring the Gower in Wales"
A well equipped holiday home with good facilities on site or nearby. A car is necessary but it is easy to explore the several beaches and walks on the Gower peninsula. Do not expect fast moving traffic but do expect to pay to park the car when away from the holiday home. Long walks on beaches and in the countryside and come back to swim in the heated pool on site. Mecca for surfers of all standards on several beaches and National Trust property and coast line to explore.
