“Nice spacious house in a quiet village”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2015

This is a lovely house, nice and spacious and the owner is very helpful and great to deal with. The 2 living room areas (one with log fire) are great if you have kids or people wanting different things from each. The massive kitchen area with table is perfect for sorting meals. We didn't make much use of the garden as the weather wasn't great. The village of Wold Newton is very quiet and small with only 1 pub in it (no shops, nearest is around 4 miles away). Unfortunately during our stay the chef was on holiday so we couldn't make use of the pub as a place to eat. It meant cooking in or driving out to other places for meals/takeaways (e.g. Filey). We did find 2 places that would deliver takeaways tho: Spinners and China China in Hunmanby. The pub, Anvil Arms is nice for a quiet cozy pint in front of the fire (local ale Wold Gold is recommended!) and there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas of Filey, Scarborough, Pickering etc. We would definitely consider returning here again, the only slight negative for us was that Wold Newton was a little more quiet and remote than expected (car essential) but this may be a big positive for others!

“Extremely comfortable holiday home”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2015

We enjoyed our stay at Pasture House. Lots of little extras to make our stay very comfortable. Large garden for the children to explore. Short walk to the village green to feed the local duck population - great for toddlers. The coast is within easy reach, whether its the beach or the seaside amenities.

“Would recomend this property to any one it is top rate”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2014

This property is so well equited, with books, games ect. that even if the weather was bad you would have no problem in amusing the children or adults alike. There is also a pub only 100 yards away that does lovely Sunday lunch also afternoon teas, and a short car drive will take you many attractions.
