From the owner

Les Patidoux is a spacious country cottage set in its own grounds, surrounded by fields of sunflowers and maize. The four large double bedrooms are bright and airy and the downstairs is cosy and welcoming.

There is a separate games room which is great for children to have their own space.

The well equipped kitchen makes self catering a pleasure and there is a Bar B Q and wooden dining furniture for eating out on the sunny patio.

The garden is safe and secluded and leads onto a large meadow which provide ample space for ball games or just to run around.

The house is a short drive from local attractions like Futuroscope and La Vallee des Singes with the bustling port of La Rochelle and its adjacent beaches about an hour away.

The vibrant market towns of Sauze Vassais, Lezay and Melle are 10-15 minutes drive and offer a variety of shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

There are several local lakes with fishing and or bathing facilities and the river Charente offers many opportunities for water sports or safe bathing.

So, whether holidaying as a couple, family or larger group, Les Patidoux is an idea base for relaxing and recharging as well as enjoying the many delights that this area of South West France has to offer.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Theresa (the owner) a message.

If Theresa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
