Description from owner

Description

This is a newly created (summer 2013) letting, being a separate part of the owner's house with it's own entrance......oh - wait a minute.......

....STOP PRESS......we have just been awarded 3 Stars in a recent VisitWales. com accommodation inspection 2015 - 16.

We hope that you'll agree that it is different - airy and light with lovely fittings and decor.......just the place to enjoy a short (or long) break by the seaside!

As you come in through the front door there is an entrance hall leading to a fully tiled shower room with luxury shower, wc and handbasin.

The larger main ground floor room (5.40m x just over 3m) contains the newly appointed kitchenette, bedroom and living space, and an attractive staircase which leads up to the mezzanine area. Here you'll find the television and a double sized bed settee...... you could always sleep up here if you prefer (although it IS cozy, measuring 3m x 2.20m with limited headroom).

We are situated on the edge of the beautiful village of Saundersfoot, a mile's walk from the harbour - or a 100m walk away from the bus stop which provides a regular service to Saundersfoot, Tenby (3 miles), Narberth (7 miles) and Haverfordwest (17 miles).

The coastal path can be walked from Saundersfoot to either Amroth or Tenby (...and beyond if you're keen!) and provides fabulous views of the incredible coastline of the area. A day in the lovely and unique town of Tenby is never wasted!

This is a nice quiet setting with character - mezzanine floor, top quality fittings and simply a great centre to explore this beautiful part of south-west Wales. Ideal for two people - maybe two with a VERY little one if you bring your earplugs (no separate bedroom)!

A well behaved dog is welcome but not on the furniture. We would like to be advised of the dog beforehand too, please. Your dog is also not to be left on his/her own in the let.....and we also ask that the front garden is NOT used as a 'walking (..or anything else!) area'. You, however, are welcome to use this garden at any time!

PLEASE NOTE: We charge an extra £10 per stay for a dog, to reflect the additional cleaning that will be required.

Location description from owner

The Wales region

Saundersfoot has become a well loved holiday village but has lost none of it's charm; it has retained it's character and friendliness, and the size of the beautiful sandy beaches here mean that you always have your own space! If you really feel you've seen all Saundersfoot has to offer, take a walk along the coastal path to Wiseman's Bridge or Amroth to the north, or Tenby to the south - all have fantastic pubs with lovely sea views.......and a bus back to within 100 yards of us! Tenby is such a lovely town with a unique character and atmosphere.Wider afield be sure to visit the treasure that is Broad Haven South (a little known gem), the lovely market town of Narberth, and also Pembroke and the county town of Haverfordwest. Throw in the fantastic lilly ponds at Bosherston, the intriguing castles at Carew, Manorbier and Pembroke, the unique character of the estuary villages, the amazing walks to suit all capabilities - try the one round Angle, for example (is there a nicer three-and-a-half mile walk ANYWHERE?!), the beautiful drive to the equally beautiful St David's................did we mention the boat trips available to Caldey Island, Skomer, and more? Mackerel fishing, anyone? The list goes on and on.......there's just SO much to do here - are you sure you're staying long enough?!

“Great, clean, well facilitated and friendly family owners who live next door”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2013

We stayed for three nights and we really enjoyed it. Their young daughter 'Janie' made us feel very welcome and she helped her dad Drew to give us a very welcoming introduction to the place. Everything in the house was clean and brand-new. The beach at Saundersfoot is really nice and about 5 minutes drive from the rental. Drew was very good with suggesting places for us to go and see. And there was lots of information in the house on places to visit.
