Description

This is one of the oldest houses in Hydra. Built during the second half of the 18th century, it stands on a low hill overlooking the sea and the back side of the town. Constructed entirely with stones, thick walls and high wooden ceilings, it is a perfect example of the traditional Greek baronial home that stands the test of time. Its location is particularly advantageous because although it is situated in a quiet area, it is only a few minutes walk from Kamini beach. The nearest food store and local restaurants/tavernas are also within a very short walking distance.

This two story house is spacious, functional and most importantly cool during the summer months; the trees and plants which are in the garden and throughout the entire property offer lots of shade and render all outdoor spaces very agreeable. Although the house is traditional, it is fitted with all modern facilities, thus providing ease and comfort throughout the duration of the guests' stay.

On the ground floor there is a fully equipped, wonderful rustic kitchen where guests will find everything they need, a bathroom/WC, a dining room, a day room and two double bedrooms. The master bedroom overlooks the garden while the other has direct access to the back yard, which is perfect for breakfast, lunch or simply for enjoying the sun. Adjacent to the bathroom is a storeroom, where guests will find and have access to a washing machine and a freezer.
The top floor consists of a spacious sitting room, an attic and two large terraces that offer majestic views of the sea and the mountains.
The day room and attic can easily accommodate a person each, so in total the house can sleep six.
Additional amenities include a large TV and DVD player and broadband internet.

Also. there is a cleaner who comes twice a week at no extra charge.
