This superb luxury duplex apartment is fronted by mature palm trees with fantastic views across the shell shaped bay of Sao Martinho do Porto. Two large balconies offer a wonderful view of the old harbour and it is only a short walk to the waters edge where the soft sand and calm seas offer ideal conditions for family holidays. Within the old part of the town, with its maze of cobbled streets and colourful houses can be found a quaint little church, traditional bakeries, and a daily market full of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. The duplex has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and will sleep 4 persons comfortably. There is a shared swimming pool and gardens and a short 75m walk to the beach, local bars and restaurants. Locally on offer are activity sports including golf, surfing, sailing, wind surfing, paragliding, mountain biking, walking & fishing. For cultural sites you can visit the fortified mediaeval town at Obidos, the holy shrine at Fatima and Alcobaca's magnificent monastery.

Please note there is no microwave and that satellite TV is very limited mainly to Sky News. There are a good selection of DVD's, books and plenty of games for your entertainment.

When you book, a 20% deposit will be required to secure the booking. Full payment will then be required 8 weeks prior to departure.

Thereafter the cancellation policy is as follows:

8 weeks prior - full refund.

4-8 weeks-50% rate refund.

2-4 weeks prior-25% refund.

Less than 2 weeks-no refund.

The Central Portugal region

A typical Portuguese holiday resort. The town was a traditional fishing port which now has turned to tourism. The centre is lined by traditional Portuguese tile fronted house with cobbled streets, an ancient church and a traditional market at the heart of it all. Fresh bread, fish, meat and vegetables are in plentiful supply at several traditional establishments.

Sao Martinho do Porto

The apartment is in a modern condominium set on the hillside overlooking the bay of Sao Martinho. It is 100m walk to the beach and sea front and borders the edge of the old town with its cobbled streets and traditional market (250m).
