Description

’Villa Dois Irmãos’ is located at the top of tranquil citrus and almond groves with stunning views down to the coast in front and to the mountains behind. This detached secluded villa is not overlooked. With many golf courses (Benamor, Colina Verde, Quinta de Cima, Quinta de Ria and Monte Rei), the historic town of Tavira within easy reach (5 minutes), local amenities and easy access to beautiful beaches and a wildlife reserve, there is plenty to do.

Our huge landscaped gardens are professionally maintained and floodlit by night, ideal for evening drinks and barbecues. A roof top terrace affords uninterrupted views of the tranquil surrounding countryside; not a high rise in sight. The floodlit 50 square metre gated pool is perfectly accompanied by its poolside bar. Our previous guests, many who have returned, all left glowing reports, praising our warm personal reception with each of our customers and even warmer weather all year around.

In addition to all of this, the vast array of beautiful and rare birds that swoop and cluster in plain sight of Villa Dos Irmaos brings avid bird watchers back time and time again. These include Common waxbill, hoopoe, azure winged magpie, bee eater, little owls, and Sardinian warble. Also on the salt pans near the old fort you can spot spoonbills, flamingo, black winged stilt, great grey shrike, and marsh harriers...to name but a few.

Location description from owner

The Algarve region

The Algarve. Think of the Algarve and you think of sunshine breaks and relaxing holidays. You imagine golden beaches on the coast of calm sea waters, sun-kissed tourists relaxing and sampling the delights that this wonderful region of Portugal has to offer.Everywhere you go, you are surrounded by bright colours, from the golden sands, to the crystal clear waters, the clear blue skies, the vivid green grass, and the white-washed walls of the buildings in the Algarve's old towns. There is no one best way to explore this region of Portugal. The seemingly endless coastline includes some of the world's most beutiful beaches, but by venturing just a few miles inland, you can lose yourself in the heritage and history of the Algarve. Fancy a more action-packed holiday? The Algarve caters for all holiday makers... with every watersport available for all tourists. The Algarve is also home to some of the world's most famous golf courses, where players of all ability are welcome. You can also try your hand at a nice relaxing game of bowling, or tennis, with the Algarve's fantastic views and sights providing the perfect backdrop. The Algarve really is a European paradise, and for that reason you want to make sure you get to know it properly.

Santo Estevao

If you want to escape the 'modern' resorts, Tavira's architecture provides a pleasant surprise. It is probably the most elegant of the Algarvian towns.Often described as the 'Algarvian Rome', and more fancifully 'the Venice of Algarve', Tavira stands on two hills on either side of the River Gilao, the two sides of the town being linked by a seven-arch bridge.Tavira is known as the Town of Churches, since there are a remarkable 37 churches and other places of worship lying within its boundaries.Santo Estevao is a beautiful small village surrounding a church. There are a few enchanting small cafes and a lovely restaurant within walking distance. The area is cooled by the breeze from the nearby coast. Many of our guests comment on how peaceful it is. There are no major highways or roads within miles around.
