Sleeps 8, but suits 2 just as well. 4 bedroom traditional farmhouse located on its own small hill with some of the best views in the area. Set in 15 acres of land with meadows, woods, vines and olive trees, the house is stylishly furnished, spacious and peaceful. 5 minutes (by car) to medieval walled village Santa Vittoria in Matenano, with its excellent restaurants, bakers, bars and small supermarkets. 30 minutes drive to the coast and mountains.
The ground floor comprises a spacious open-plan living room (with wood-burning stove, flat screen TV, DVD player and sofas) and a generous, fully-equipped kitchen, including a dining table seating 8, dishwasher and large fridge-freezer. Terracotta floor tiles, the original stone walls and french windows combine to make this a light, sunny and comfortable space. There is also a bathroom with a 'rain' shower and WC. The sleeping accommodation is on the first floor and comprises: one large bedroom with village views and an extra large double bed; one large bedroom with mountain views and one large double bed; one bedroom with village views and one extra large double bed (this can be converted to two singles); one bedroom with two single beds and mountain views. A further bathroom, with a bath, bidet, 'rain' shower and WC is also on the first floor. A terrace runs around the house on the outside on which there are sun loungers and a table and chairs from which you can sit and enjoy the views or use the BBQ. Olive and fruit trees, oleanders, rosemary, lavender and other herbs have been planted around the house; pine trees on one side and mulberry trees on the other provide shade. This is a perfect house for those seeking peace and quiet as well as those who want to explore the many hill towns and timeless countryside of the Marche with its breathtaking views.The house is ideally located for trips to the Sibillini mountains national park and the Adriatic coast as well as the regional towns of Macerata and Ascoli Piceno.

The Marche region
The house is ideally situated 30 minutes from the seaside and the mountains. While you're there why not:
- Sample the local Marchigiano produce at local markets and restaurants
- Meet the locals in Santa Vittoria in Matenano, which has featured in several UK TV programmes about relocating to Italy
- Walk the trails, and enjoy the fields of flowers and wildlife in the Sibillini National Park, where the highest mountain - Monte Vettore is 2,476 m. The vast upland plain, Piano Grande, is transformed into a 8km2 carpet of flowers in early summer
- Try and catch a firefly on a warm night in June
- Sit on the beach, walk under the palms or have an ice cream at San Benedetto del Tronto
- Have a gelato in the marble piazza in 2,000 year-old Ascoli Piceno
- Grab a ticket to the annual opera festival at Macerata (or take a tour of the sferisterio and visit one of Italy's oldest universities during the rest of the year)
- Stop for lunch in Sarnano your way to the mountains
- Go shopping at the nearby factory shopping 'outlets' for luxury brands, including Tods, Prada, Cesare Paciotti etc
- Or just sit on the terrace and enjoy the view...

Excellent access to child friendly beaches along the Adriatic coast at S. Benedetto, Civitanova Marche and Porto S. Giorgio (from 30 minutes away).
Swimming pool in local village (5 mins by car) and Sevigliano (10-15 mins by car).
Walking, cycling, horse riding, ski, mountain biking, mountaineering all available locally.
Skiing in Sibillini mountains approx 35 minutes away.
