Description

Two-apartment villa with view of Capo Testa and the Santa Reparata Bay, just a couple of kilometers from the town of Santa Teresa and across the Straits of Bonifacio from Corsica (a 40 minute ferry crossing away). The two apartments of the villa share the yard with a jacuzzi / spa, but have independent access. Each has a living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making the villa capable of comfortably accommodating a total of 8 people and especially suitable to receive families or friends who wish to share a vacation while enjoying some independence. The apartments have a dual air-conditioning / heating system with individual room controls. In order to avoid being surprised by this, please note that the second apartment is below ground level to conform with local rules on building elevation, and its windows open onto large trench openings to the outside.

Location description from owner

The Sardinia region

Sardinia captivates with its wild interior, dazzling beaches and endearing eccentricities. If you like to explore, you will always find new coastal trails or mountains to climb, hidden bays to kayak to and little-known agriturismi tucked away in the silent hinterland.
The island has some of the dreamiest beaches you'll find without stepping off European shores, for everybody's taste. Be it walking barefoot across the dunes on the wave-lashed Costa Verde or lounging on the Costa del Sud's silky smooth bays – unroll your beach towel and you'll never want to leave.
As DH Lawrence so succinctly put it: 'Sardinia is different.' Indeed, where else but here can you go from near-alpine forests to snow white beaches, or find wildlife oddities like the blue-eyed albino donkeys on the Isola dell'Asinara and the wild horses that shyly roam Giara di Gesturi. The island is also a culinary one-off, with distinct takes on pasta, bread and dolci, and its own wines (Vermentino whites, Cannonau reds) and cheeses.
Sardinia has been polished like a pebble by the waves of its history and heritage. The island is scattered with 7000 nuraghi, Bronze Age towers and settlements, tombe dei giganti ('giant's grave' tombs) and domus de janas ('fairy house' tombs). Down every country lane and and in every 10-man, 100-sheep hamlet, these remnants of prehistory are waiting to be pieced together like the most puzzling of jigsaw puzzles.

Santa Teresa Gallura

Santa Teresa is at the very northern end of Sardinia, just across the straits from Corsica and its southernmost town, Bonifacio, which is only about 40 minutes away by ferry ride (running several times a day in the high season). This part of Sardinia is called Gallura, and offers some of the most beautiful beaches in the island, tucked in between the pink-granite rock formations that are characteristic of this part of the island. Like the rest of Sardinia, Gallura has something to offer for every taste: a sailor's paradise in the waters around the islets of the La Maddalena cluster; snorkeling in the less visited small coves; family beaches where in the warmest summer days one can just relax or socialize; and away from the sea, archeological sites to visit; or just simply the opportunity to taste the local food or mingle with the social life that in the high season one can find concentrated around the town square cafes and gelaterie, and at the many open-air restaurant patios and agriturismi.
