Location description from owner

The Island of Malta region

The Maltese Islands are an archipelago located in the centre of the Mediterranean sea, just 93km south of Sicily. The three major islands are: Malta, Gozo and Comino. Malta is the largest island (27 km long and 15km wide) whilst Gozo is only about one-third the size. Most visitors arrive in Malta by air through Malta International Airport, however it is also possible to reach the island by sea. Gozo is Malta's sister island, covering an area of 67 sq km with a population of just 30,000. The island of Gozo can be reached by ferry from Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal. Cirkewwa terminal is located just 10 minutes away (by car or public transport) from Mellieha village. The shuttle ferry service is operated by Gozo Channel and the schedule varies by season, however ferries typically run every hour and the journey takes under 30 minutes.

Santa Maria Estate

Mellieha was officially recognized as one of Europe’s top 'Off the beaten track' destinations and awarded the European Destination of Excellence (EDEN) award. Mellieha is situated at the northernmost point on the Island of Malta, and it exhibits breathtaking views of Gozo and Comino, with astonishing panoramas and picturesque sunsets can be enjoyed from several viewpoints on hilltops and cliffs surrounding the village.

Mellieha has a variety of attractions that one can visit, and that are only few minutes away from the Villa, including several beaches, with Mellieha Bay being the largest sandy beach in Malta, churches, archaeological sites, coastal towers, fortifications, World War 2 shelters and more.

“excellent holiday”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2016

My family and I , 12 people altogether ages 10 months to 65 years, have had 2 glorious weeks holiday, using both apartments, We found the apartments to be very clean and Tessie, the owner, very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much and she spoke to us and the children as though we'd known her all our life. The pool was kept clean and as it's quite a large size we all had plenty of room to have fun. Mellieha is a lovely village with shops and restaurants to suit everyone. I would like to thank Tessie and Charles for helping to make this holiday a memorable one as this was my retirement celebration with my family. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends

“Excellent!”

We had such a lovely week in Villa Highnoon 2. The villa and pool were spotlessly clean and Tessy was very helpful and friendly. The villa is well equipped and met all our needs. We will definitely be returning in the future.

“Excellent Villa.”

We have been to Malta several times over the years always staying in the north of this lovely Island... The Santa Maria estate in Mellieha boasts some of the best Villas in Malta and the Villa High Noon is a good example of this, It is a large villa that can cater for large or small goups and you can hire all or part of the villa depending on the size of your party, We stayed at the villa in September and and found the villa roomy and very clean, and the pool area is safe especially with young children as there is a safety fence and gate, there was plenty of patio furniture to relax on around the pool. The owners the Fenech Family are lovely people, nothing was to much trouble for them and there customer service is excellent. The villa is close to all the amenities Mellieha has to offer and although the beach is a fair walking distance away (approx 20/25 min walk and up hill coming back) the local bus out on the main road will take you down to the beach, The bus service is excellent and the buses go to most areas on the island including the capitol Valleta. The village its self is situated on a hill and has an abundance of Resturants, Bars and 3 hotels that welcome you. There are also 2 local supermarkets and a bakers within walking distance. So based on previous experiences we have rebooked the villa and will be staying again in August 2013.

“Exceptional”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2013

Charlie & Tessie (owners) were very very friendly and they go out of their way to help you from the day you arrive till the day you leave their villa. The villa was spotlessly clean and really big and spacious. All bedrooms are nicely decorated and the kitchen was newly fitted with a washing machine which was quite handy. The pool was of a very good size with a lovely swing and sunbathing area. We stayed in the upper villa which has a lovely big terrace and a b.b.q area with a big table were we stayed most nights. What I really enjoyed about this villa is the fact that it is in a very quite area but at the same time with close proximities to the town centre as well as the butcher, baker and groceries. (10 minutes walk).

“Wonderful place, wonderful people.”

Having visited Malta before, we decided to up the ante a bit and book a luxury property near to all amenities. Villa High Noon is just that - centrally located and private too - with all the home comforts anyone could want. The renowned friendliness of the Maltese people is personified in the owners, Charlie and his family - who could not do enough to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. If you're looking for a charming holiday rental, where the hosts make you feel like a member of their family, then I advise you to consider Villa High Noon. Marvellous!
